Interviewer:- "Let's talk about your part in Aliens, Bill".... Bill:- "No, let's talk some more about Sigorney's part". What a humble, lovely guy Bill Paxton was.
@Bikewithlove7 жыл бұрын
What made Sigourney and Jim's portrayal of Ripley great was that Ripley was a bullshit-hater, not a man-hater. The Alien movies do not show a trace of contempt for men, but they show an appropriate contempt for evil and cowardice, which are the real problems in the world that political rhetoric attempts to conceal. When Sigourney Weaver mentions stereotypes in this interview, she isn't blaming men, but saying that the stereotype of the timid female is perpetuated by both men and women, and that it's bullshit. Cowardice is not a gender trait, and the Alien movies are extremely clear about this. Also, Ripley isn't portrayed as superior to men. She would not have survived without the efforts and sacrifices of other crew members.

This comment could not be more spot on. This is why today's younger generations just don't get it. Instead of being strong females in their own space, men are now parading as women and taking their spaces from them. What lunacy.

Bill Paxton is also a great director. His film "Frailty" is awesome...
@ethanboyd68858 жыл бұрын
I remember seeing a scene or two of Frailty when I was a kid and thinking how ... intense Bill was in it. Anyway, as I got older I always wanted to see Frailty in it's entirety but could never remember the name of the movie. Luckily, the other week I just happened to notice the cover on a shelf at my local movie store, so I bought it ! I have now scene the whole movie, and yes - Frailty is a great movie ! Matthew McConaughey and Powers Booth deserve recognition for their part in the movie also, I believe.

Bill was what, 61 years old when he died? To me he looks 50 tops in this clip. Not only he was taken so abruptly and shockingly, but also at such a young age in my opinion. He's so cool, positive and young spirited. People like him taken away is so awful and unfair.
