When facing huggers, crouch! I never see anyone do this despite the fact that croushing makes it 500% easier to aim at them and also makes it harder for them to properly jump onto you so long as you keep moving.

I was born in 96, was only small when i saw my two older brothers playing it. I'll never get the memories of that robotic voice booming over the dark dingy interior with all those screams from dying soldiers. I'd never even seen the movies at that point. No idea whey my mum allowed me to watch my brothers play it. Nightmares for years

@@lukasschopf8715 Well, it's an Alien game, so it must be hard. Also it's not just plain FPS, but survival horror game. If there's feeling of danger and gloomy atmosphere it means they nailed it perfectly. I'm not a big fan of dark and scary games (I get nervous and spooked easily), but if somebody's looking for such games this is one of the best I've seen.

I can only remember 6 thing about this game from back in the days of ps1. 1: Ammo was incredibly scarce. 2: If a facehugger grabbed you you were pretty much a goner because those medical extraction terminals were impossible to find. 3: Darkness, darkness and more darkness. (but not AVP movie level darkness thank god.) 4: Footsteps, footsteps and more footsteps. 5: I was always annoyed you could only walk in a game where a monster alien were hunting you. 6: the ships computer would not shut the F#@% up!

I had well over 1200 pulse rifle rounds at the end of level 4. There is ammo, you just need to A: Find it, and B: Not waste it.

Спасибо за продолжение! Сколько раз я пытался её осилить, но всё заканчивалось одним и тем же, меня цеплял лицехват и мне только оставалось ждать смерти. Не знаю, может быть у меня глюченая версия но стоили этим мелким засранцам подойти ко мне они автоматически хватали меня даже без анимации прыжка. Ничего не помогало, ни точная стрельба, ни читы, стабильно умирал на третьем уровне. Ещё раз спасибо, что удалось узнать как оно там дальше.

I had this game but never completed it. It was way too hard for me. I remember that there wasnt much ammo and that I first met like 2 aliens who were pretty tough but then I met some bigger queen like alien and I didnt have ammo to kill it. I thought the level of difficulty made quite the jump or that I was missing too many things. Back then Alien triology, Dark Forces, DooM, Quake and Kileak were the Fps Ive completed.

It was first scary and atmospheric game I played in past as a child. But i rember graphic like Alien isolation not this :D But i never finish it. First encounter after military guys I was way too much for me :D (but strange is Resident evil 1-3 was no problem). Then at age 10-11 I almost finished it, but i end in severs right before Queen encounter, game get stuck in loading always. Then at age 14-15 I had PC with internet, so I pirate .iso, but same problem at same part. So then I pass it :/ But now I remember this game and ended here. So thank you for nice gameplay :)

I love the Gameplay but it was weird that some things didn't show up. Before the boss fight with the Alien Queen, Blue Ridge Head Alien Warriors actually show up, although they do show up in 2:24:08 That was an in game Easter Egg as a call back to ALIENS and they too were shown and mentioned in the old Strategy Guide. The only thing I dislike on this gameplay is the tedious way of shooting the eggs...gah...sooo many and sooo long LOL.

You made this game easy. This game is way too hard for me to beat. The most annoying thing in this game are the facehuggers always show up unexpected to infect the character I play and the portable autodoc units are scarce. I can’t beat this game without the cheat which contains infinite health, infinite ammo, infinite oxygen, all weapons, level selection, and no Chestburster.

How to deal with face huggers: Crouch! It really amazes me that not even expert players of this game do this. Crouching makes the little bastards 500% easier to aim at, and also makes it harder for them to jump on you so long as you keep moving. Combining this tactic with proper scavenging, i had somewhere around 20 or more auto doc units by level 4.

10 year old me gave up on this game. I always died and had no extra lives after 20% completion. So stupid you have to do a re-over if you failed. You could always go back to a save file but what was the point if you didn't afford to die just once and the game was hella hard xD

So at one point, you use Hicks' ID card which is somehow still valid in the system? Presumably that's Ripley's clone, who uses Hicks' codes on the door, correct? Or is that just an easter egg, implying that Hicks had a descendant who became Corporal?

Ummm the Movie was on 1997 the videogame came out in 2000, literally 3yrs after the movie. And I remember clearly cause I used to work in a video game store when it came out and being always a fan of the ALIEN franchise I had been looking forward to this game for a while since the movie had come out. It had been delayed cause at first they made it like Tomb Raider's perspective, and then other things till they settled to this type, and it got poor reviews aside the pacing, but mainly cause the control system was new and unseen before. Now its set up is practically the norm in a FPS game.
