Damn, all I see in the subs are kids fucking complaining about everything. Im 60, and I saw the original Alien in theaters when I was 14, and this looks pretty damn good. And I like long trailers. And it doesnt give away the whole movie, because the movie isnt the premise but the individual scenes which develop story and character. And Im sorry but any movie that puts me in a well visualized and realized space is amazing. Take my money, please, just put me in space for two hours. But good god, stop complaining about every thing under the sun, please!

I agree to a certain extent. 1 and 2 were amazing. The next 2 were not so good. I disliked 3 a lot. Prometheus and Covenant were an improvement, but it was still the same formula. I don't see what this can add. It's the same as Terminator, which they are doing another one of, apparently. How many ways can you tell the same story.

You should just read all alien/aliens comics they explain way more information and explain certain bits that aren't in the movie, the director and producers should look at the comics before doing anymore alien franchise movies . It will give them a better view of the alien franchise and how the plot/script will work and connect

Burst through chest - check, jump scare -check, nostalgia callbacks - check, female final fight with Alien - check, and to finish off - the Alien comes back again just before female goes to sleep - so that she can finally kill it with a FU-MarthaFalker - and blow it out of the air shaft.. mm check.

The 1979 Alien movie was a great hit. It is no wonder that James Cameron made Aliens, which really reached a lot of fans, especially sci-fi ones. To this day, I have yet to see an Alien movie that can top the first two: Alien 1979 and Aliens 1986. I have high hopes for Alien Romulus. However, we will see because the Alien movies that followed the Colonial Marine's story did not hit the mark nearly as well as the first two. Of course, this is my opinion, and I have heard that there will be an Alien TV series released in the future. Is that really true? If so, I look forward to seeing it. Perhaps they can fulfill the story of the "space jockey's aircraft " that crash landed on LV-426, where Ripley's crew first came upon the Alien. That would make for a good prequel. I have heard that that spacecraft was a science vessel. Maybe you guys can enlighten me on that ship?

At least Prometheus and Covenant tried to do something new. Sure, they ended up back on the same old formula, but they tried to expand the story and say something different. This is going to be Aliens without the war, Alien 3 without Charles Dance, Resurrection without the crazy and Prometheus/Covenant without Ancient Astronaut theory. Basically, it's going to be a bad cover version of Alien, 45 years after the original.

Honestly, it kind of looks and seems like a zombies-type movie featuring the xenomorphs. Perhaps that is not too surprisingly, though, considering the director of the movie, and also that it seems that maybe all of the central cast of the movie are kids in their twenties or thirties. Hopefully, I'll be surprised (and hopefully you'll be surprised, as well).

There are some audio books which I find are better than some of the later movies. Out of the Shadows, Sea of Sorrows and River of Pain are 3 pretty good ones, expecially the full cast recordings. They probably wont be everyones cup of tea but I really liked them. You get them all with Audible but I think you have to subscribe to hear them. There is also an alternative Alien 3 full cast recording. It is completely different from the movie. It is by William Gibson and is performed by some of the Aliens cast, Lance Henrikson, Michael Biehn. After the first 2 amazing movies the rest have been inferior although I did think Prometheus was good. Covenant was pretty good but I did not like the David character much. I found him annoying.
