As a huge Alien fan, I cannot wait for this. "This might not work for everyone" is the name of the game with about 75% of the franchise, so I'm ready...Great review, Chris!

The first reviews to come out are saying very good things about this movie! And I'm glad to know that Fede Álvarez continues to make good movies. His version of Evil Dead is awesome too! I'm becoming a big fan of this director 🙌

All I can say about this movie is there was enough salt put into it, but I was missing the pepper... I think this is a very accurate description coming from a MASSIVE alien fan. 7/10.

Totally agree about the third act. Shame as it had been great up until then! But third act was so silly it was funny.

Until they get into the abandoned ship it was super slow, and the ending was… well, it was an ending for sure. But this was a good movie outside of the ending

The score is a mix bag, not even top 3 in the franchise because it was not original enough, it paid tribute to all the other films in the franchise

the ending should have been a summarised issue and then cut to a scene with blood everywhere and the final words and left it as a mystery, no need for that final event imo

Only by watching short clips of «Romulus», we see that creatures are treated like any other average monsters in mediocre films for teenagers. It's really not good. The casting is horrendous, it looks like an TV reality show for teens with multiculrural politics. SF and general films from today are a lost cause.

Serious question. Why on earth did you call this “gory”. I saw this and went in pumped- told my family- this reviewer I watch said this is super gory!! Finished it and they all looked at me and said… ummm gory? Haha this barely had any blood whatsoever in it.
