It was awesome dude but i know one thing that could be better if u use ease in and ease out that would give u awesome and fast moves like if u would use ease in snd ease out when (Wolf) throws the spear att the alien it would look really good but u are better than me at stop motion i will start to use 24 FPS next time i do stop motion i use ease in and ease out a little bit to much. And again u are fu*king amazing keep doing your thing!

Casper Sirkka the animation was timed the way I liked it, but my timing methods are different than simple ease in and out. Using time remapping and Twixtor. Glad you enjoyed it!

I love the stop motion it's beautiful but you can't sneak up on a Xenomorph and it shouldn't take a break as a predator gets up not to mention the acid damage. All of these are just nitpicks though, I really enjoyed the video

***** Yes. The final output was 1920x1080 at 23.976fps. Originally shot at 5K. Backgrounds were created digitally. Figures stand at about 6 inches and were shot against a green screen.

Michal, I know it's been a while since you made this but I have to ask. Is that egg in the beginning of the animation the one that comes with the AVP alien, or is it a CGI stand in? It looks great. you did a bang up job lighting and compositing all of these shots. Very smooth.

OpenMawProductions Thanks! The Alien Egg does come with the figure and is roughly 2 inches tall. It was shot on a green screen background and the lighting was further manipulated in After Effects. About 90 percent of the alien and predator shots were filmed separately (characters never physically in the same shot). All backgrounds are digital plates.

It's really funny how people think Predators can fight Aliens when Predators can't even fight humans in hand to hand combat in their own movies. Predators aren't that much stronger than humans are. Take away its weapons and it's probably as strong as Bane from The Dark Knight Rises. I also love how the Alien at the end was just standing there staring at the Predator and not doing anything. You just got to love how all the AvP media always nerf the Aliens. Realistically, Predators would not stand a chance against Aliens.

Agreed. But it falls into the typical bad guy vs. good guy trope. We'll make the Aliens put up a good fight, but in the end we'll have a Predator win by a hair. To let the Alien win, is like having the Joker kill Batman. Then what? Not saying some wouldn't enjoy seeing something like this as a refreshing new twist, but people ultimately want good, or in this case, less of a bad guy, to win.

However, this was the standard figure of Wolf, it only had one cannon. 4 months later after this video was released, the officially released a Heavy Arms version of Wolf which contained all of its arsenal from AVP-R, including the dual cannons. You'll see those new weapons being used in part 2.
