I’ve always loved military history, especially in the Pacific theater during WWII. The acting, the uniforms, the weapons, the military jargon, the soldiers body language, everything is amazing; and then to throw a Yautja right in the middle of it. One of the Americans are holding an ak47 + there’s inaccuracies regarding headwear because they’re all supposed to be wearing m1’s whereas a couple are seen to be wearing another helmet. On top of that units at the time were segregated. From a historical point of view - it’s not doing so well.

While this little piece is showing here on youtube for free there isn't anyone on the planet that would want to pay 10 dollars (let along $2) to watch it let alone find a distributor that would release it or a theatre that would show it..lol.........Its a nice little film they made. I've been involved in a couple of student films and those kids worked their asses off, I was very impressed at all of the behind-the-scenes work that has to be done just to make a very short little film. I love that this is set during WW2. One of the most compelling aspects of the Predators is that they've come to our planet during many different time periods. I love seeing the Predators fight humans with different equipment and tactics throughout different time periods in history. It adds something fresh and different to the table. I also recommend The Predator Dark Ages fan film if you're interested in stuff like this!

Congratulations on creating a great short film! I was impressed by how much you were able to pack into such a short time frame. My favorite aspects were the music and sound effects, which really added to the overall atmosphere. I also appreciated the way the soldiers from both sides worked together to defeat the common threat. It was a refreshing and effective portrayal of unity in action.

I refuse to believe this was made on a $500 budget. The cinematography, sound design, editing, camera composition? *EVERYTHING* about this short film was excellently crafted with the utmost care and finesse! Plus the fact the colors mimicked those of an old, colorized war film was an exquisite touch among other things, even the story of two enemies becoming brothers-in-arms against a common foe was nothing more than the cherry ontop! The only fault this film has is the audio not being visibly synced properly, but that isn't anything sound programs like Audacity and whatever video program you fancy using can't fix! 9.5/10!

To me, the outstanding original Predator soundtrack by Alan Silvestri is 50% of what made the movie so great and memorable. Back then, the producers understood this, since they reused most of it in Predator 2. The creators of this glorious short film clearly understood that too 👌

No way in hell this was made with only 500 $, all the needed equipment rent fees would already be over 500$ let alone that really amazing Predator Costume. That alone would take several hundred dollars to make. Maybe they had alot of donations. They could only shoot this for a low budget since they already had tons of equipment from the peoples involved and cause they are doing short films for a while. I've read that the Predators movie had a budget of 40 million dollars. YOU guys did this with 500 dollars. I can't imagine what you could do if you get a budget of 500 grand or even just a hundred. Nicely done.

Nathan Chenov I don't think it's "way way way too high" of a salary. Even though they got oscar-winner Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne and Danny Trejo along with other little-known actors, they aren't really that in demand and therefore their salary for that movie wouldn't even have compared to other actors in more popular movies.

What they should do is make a film completely about the predator. Why he hunts, how he gets stronger and why they live like this, including there trainning. And it should be made like the film 300.

The yautja (predator) society revolves around ranks the higher the rank the more notorious so they keep on hunting because that is there culture they don’t hunt for food but for sport he also gets stronger by collecting the dna of hes hunts and mixes it with hes own so he gets stronger so the cycle continues

Sure, you have modern shotgun grips and rails and boots, but for $500, to get it looking that good... well done. I'm sold. Maybe I’m nitpicking but I can’t see muscle man at 5:30 getting deployed as light infantry. Considering his size, he definitely would have ended up in a tank battalion as a gunner.

Despite budget limitations, acting is solid, the clothes are spot on, editing and filming are good so the overall short film is quite good. But the loophole with the rubiks cube device and the guy taking his shirt off really doesn't make sense and I don't think adds to the story and would not have taken away from the story if they were not included. Having said that, I know there's no way I could have done even half as good a job as these guys. Good on you !

YES!!! I haven't even watched the video yet and I love the concept! I've been hoping this concept would one day be adopted for film. I think I remember coming across it in a Predator comic called "sands of time". I say that but I could be wrong because it is a distant memory from childhood when I collected comic books. So glad you took this on as a fan film, I can't wait to finish watching it! Update: just watched it. I must say, well done. Hope to see more! And I hope they were rewarded for defeating the Predator : )

when 500 bucks of shoestring budget, but made with passion, outclasses any multimilion dollar bs hollywood churns out. This deserved a whole feature lenght movie. It is incredible just how much you got me invested in the characters with only 9 minutes. Now imagine if you gave this crew the multimillion dollar budget hollywood usually gives. What a gem we could have.
