Hi Rob, I've got a question: Is it possible to manually start and stop video recordings using the remote control while driving so that they are saved like an “emergency recording” during an accident?

You can start and stop video loop recording through touch screen interface, but not with the remote buttons. However, you can lock recordings with remote button to save the current video and prevent loop recording from overwriting it. Hope this answers your question Ralf.

@@RH-Bike-n-Travel correct, it will save the current loop video file and lock it. It will likely be shorter than a full duration clip. As it is mid-loop. You can also go into playback and lock previous recordings should you need to. Let’s say you have an event where you need to lock multiple loops. lock action, either button press or gsensor will lock the current loop wherever it is in the loop time recording, (this is configurable 1, 3, 5 minutes loop length). To lock loops just prior to that one you can easily go into playback menu and lock those via the software menu. The retrieve easily to mobile device via mobile app. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks Rob. What is the file size for 1 Minute recording? Can you choose the frame rate e.g. 120 fps?

Does it have built in GPS?

No built in GPS, this system uses your mobile device’s GPS via AA/CP, so no speed overlay data on Dashcam video.
