Not sure that's even close to 1080p footage, more likely 720p at best (another Chinese mis-information product)

I agree. It definitely looks better on Sunny days but still, this footage is on an overcast day and should be much clearer than it’s showing. Framerate says 30 fps as well, but it looks lower, not very smooth. 1080p at 30fps should look much better than this!

I think it's excellent for what is being offered. Camera quality could've been better but overall it seems excellent for sure.

Yeah I agree. I wonder if there are better cameras you can add on, or if it's the compression they use for recording? But still nice to have some footage always available if needed.

There are a couple of issues I am facing 1) The screen keeps switching to the main screen while I am using Android AUTO 2) The screen doesn't turn off when I use the kill switch to turn off but it restarts when I use it to turn on the engine. Did you face similar issues?

Hmm. That's odd. No I haven't experienced those issues. I actually like the device and works well. I just wish the camera recording quality was better quality and better stabilization.

Just ordered 2 of these for my 2 bikes, After using it for 6 months are you still happy with them? Im planning on adventure riding, can you use different navigation maps like OnX Offroad and stuff? Thanks for the review!

The unit itself is great and the TPMS works great as well. The cameras....Meh.. They're not very good. I wouldn't use them to record footage for making videos etc.. But they are good enough to record if something happens and you need video proof. As for other types of maps, as long as they work with CarPlay or Android Auto, you can use them. So you would have to check with the app developer if their apps are CarPlay/AndroidAuto compatible.

Thanks! I actually really like this system, but like you, the cameras need to be better. I bumped them up to the highest resolution but they are still just "OK". Hello, yesterday I installed this device on my motorcycle directly to the battery, but I can't find a way to turn off the screen completely, I only see the option to rest 1 or a few minutes later, but it doesn't turn off completely, do you know how I can do it? thank you so much.

You're not supposed to connect it directly to the battery. It needs to be on switched power. Otherwise it will stay on and drain your battery

So I’m shopping for one that will work connected to my phone and also connect to my lexin b4fm helmet setup. That way I can keep my phone in my pocket and use the unit to make phone calls navigating and control my music. Does this thing cover all those basis?

Yes. That’s exactly how I use mine. The phone stays in my pocket and I just use the screen. I found it works better if my phone connects to my helmet first and then I turn on the bike. Then all 3 pair up fine. If I turn the bike on first and then the helmet, it sometimes doesn’t see the helmet

I connect to my helmet first before turning on the CarPlay device. That usually works every time. But If my phone connects to the CarPlay first, then sometimes I have problems getting it to connect to the helmet. But helmet first works every time for me

Great video, do you know if it is waterproof the description says IP67 and in another area IP65

On the site and in the manual it says IP67 so I'm going to "hopefully" think that's correct. I did have another one that was just like this as it seems they are the same just rebranded under different names, and that one I had I did was never effected by water when I washed the bike and sprayed it and the 1 time I got caught in a heavy downpour. So I'll just assume the manual and my past experience is correct. Hope this helps

I now use a Thunderbox TB-U1 which connects directly to the battery and turns on/off automatically when it senses the bike is on and charging. But before that, I was using an adapter plugged into the 12v socket by the rear seat like in this video I made kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5DVoIerqrFjarc

Hey, do you know if its possible to connect the helmet Bluetooth speaker and microphone. Especially for voice commands while riding?

Yes you can depending on your headset. I didn't need to with my Cardo Packtalk Edge as all voice commands went through fine with Cardo paired to phone and phone paired to Carplay. No additional connections were needed

I don’t think you’re able to do that. At least I’ve never seen anyone do that. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. But I haven’t seen it

@danmelvin111 I have the same unit and no, i don't think you can utilize the USB port for that, but what i know for a fact what you can do though( that requires opening the unit and little modification) is to use the built in speaker for that, just splice into or cut( if you don't need to use the tiny built in speaker anyways) onto the wiring going to the speaker and put a 3.5mm jack on it to connect it to your "stereo" to have the sound from the Android Auto or CarPlay to play on your stereo ( there's an option in the main menu to route the sound to the built in speaker rather than to your phone which it is set to on default)

Can you turn off the tpms features? My bike already has it installed (from factory) and wouldn’t need them.

Yes, I found the option to turn them off so you don't get the alerts. I'm currently on the fence if I should continue to use these or the Fobo Bike2 ones that I previously purchased. Both seem to be reading the same. I'll probably keep these for now and if they ever fail, just put my Fobo ones back on

@@Mudslidex1 That would be the best option. So much easier to have an all in one unit vs multiple systems. Another question, most car play units I’ve found don’t have the capability to save the date and time on the unit once the bike is shut off. Does this have an internal battery used to keep settings and what not once set?

@@aospwill I haven't found one yet that saves the date and time. I don't know why they don't include even just a your regular cr2032 type battery to keep date/time. But this one does not keep time either. Although once your phone pairs up, it has the correct time in Carplay/Android Auto. But the time of the unit itself does not synch.

What if the tire has sealant in it? Is it safe to put the tpms?

I wouldn't think so as the sealant will most likely work its way into the valve stem and then out into the TPMS. I'm not 100% sure on this, but it sounds like the sealant would clog it up

@@albejuderea5670 I don't really know as I haven't had anything fall on it, but it has held up so far to my fingers and wearing gloves with no scratched. I don't think it would get scratched much since it faces away from the direction of anything hitting it, and fingers and gloves don't seem to have any effect on it. Thanks!
