In the year 2202, the USS Endeavor receives a distress call from the previously thought destroyed Katanga refinery station orbiting the planet LV-895 and moves in to investigate, sending a fireteam of Colonial Marines to board the station. The Marines quickly discover that the entire station has been overrun by Xenomorphs. They manage to rescue the sole survivor of the station, Weyland-Yutani scientist Dr. Timothy Hoenikker. Hoenikker reveals that Weyland-Yutani discovered Xenomorph eggs as well as a mutagenic substance dubbed the "Pathogen" on LV-895, and have been secretly breeding Xenomorphs and experimenting with the Pathogen before the Xenomorphs broke containment.
Determined to find answers, the Marines head down to the surface of LV-895, where they discover alien ruins that were being studied by Weyland-Yutani. They make contact with another Weyland-Yutani survivor, Cynthia Rodriguez, and head over to stage a rescue despite her insisting she is safe. The Marines fight their way through Xenomorphs and Weyland-Yutani combat synthetics until they reach the Weyland-Yutani facility, where they discover Rodriguez is actually a Mother AI called SN/TH/YA. Since SN/TH/YA has gone rogue, the Marines shut her down, but not before she activates "Asset Zero". The Marines travel further into the ruins and find that Asset Zero is an intact Engineer starship loaded with Pathogen that SN/TH/YA has arranged to send back to Earth. Realizing the danger the ship poses, the Marines sabotage its power source to prevent it from lifting off.
The Marines are then sent back to Katanga to manually overload the station's fusion power core and destroy the Xenomorph hive on board. While they succeed, they are forced to flee for their lives when they anger a Xenomorph Queen, and narrowly escape the station before it explodes.
However, despite the mission's success, Xenomorphs and large stores of Pathogen are still on the surface of LV-895, and both Weyland-Yutani and rival corporation Hyperdyne Systems are sending forces to claim the planet, meaning the Endeavor and her Marines will have to stay to prevent the Xenomorph infestation from spreading and Pathogen from falling into the wrong hands.

You managed to not only matchmake during recording, but also use, or at least observe, Voice Chat? You and your team can put this to good use when recording games like this GLP, doubly so if all members of your team mic up and coordinate. Kinda hard to record cutscenes when dead, so you should keep your eyes open for more opportunities like this! EDIT: spelling

It's a great game! Cruise through the story on regular to get a feel for it, then once u keep grinding up the difficulty. It's pure chaos & gets my heart racing. I've only finished the last mission on Intense it's f***ing hard. The Xenos & Pretorians are bad ass & have tons of health. It gets me excited for the (inevitable) Alien: Awakening !

This game was made because 1. Colonial Mars sucked and 2. Alien Isolation was far too scare for most people to play AND most didn't like the game design playing off of the first movie. So this is a short, sweet, and to the point.

They only work with the data they have, and they believe the Xeno's are a natural evolution. They don't know about David and his work, and so there's no reason for it to be mentioned by the characters of the game; it's more something you and I know about from the outside.

1. Prometheus has Xenomorph murals. They existed prior to the movie. 2. Prometheus extras show that the distress signal picked up by the nostromo was discovered by Weyland and David prior to the movie. This shows that the Derelict ship was already there, the eggs we already there, the Xenomorphs already existed. 3. The Alien Covenant: Advent short implies David used Engineer blueprints to create the Xenomorph seen in the film, meaning that they already existed and David was just following a recipe. 4. EU material and AVP show that they existed prior to Prometheus. There's actually no official statement that AVP isn't canon, it's just a head-canon that got out of hand really. So, David created the Xenomorph but only the variant seen in Alien: Covenant. Of course, the other commentor is also correct in that the characters in the game were unaware regardless.

Don't waste your time with this game got my head nipped to buy it completed the fucker with half a day with the lads yeah there are harder difficulties but felt so underwhelming once u fight a xeno or synthetic once uve done it all, patterns are ridiculously easy to read should of bought ghost of tsushima 😑😑

Ugh, this isn't Aliens, it's a wannabe World War Z clone. The aliens aren't even a threat, they are more like nuisances. It doesn't even have 4 or 5 players like a real fire team should. Sega better be coming out with an Alien: Isolation sequel.

beat the game, was expecting an epic cutscene of the hive n station blowing up, all i got was...talking to guys who just stand there with no animation, like right out of a game from the 90s, ok yay i guess

It’s acceptable for the majority of the game but they really half assed the conclusion of the final mission, both the way it ends and the fact of the alien queen.
