All Marines are assigned a personal mass allowance during long deployments. Most bring memnetos of home - physical or digital photographs, art by their children, or "personal items" from a partner. Others bring small comforts, such as favored food seasonings, or a comfortable blanket and pillow.
Personal electronics preloaded with digital music, text, or video entertainment are also popular. While transport ships are fitted with hyperstate antennae, personal bandwith is strictly rationed, and units may be required to "run silent" for long periods to avoid tracking by hostile forces.
A few Marines - especially those from long-serving military families - bring along reliable, familiar personal weapons that have been passed from parent to child, While Corps frowns on keeping personal weapons in the squad bay, most field commanders are inclined to provide dispensation, provided the weapons are securely stowed in the platoon armory between missions.

I'd describe it more or less intense+ but not as hard as extreme. Some where in between almost like the missing difficulty when it seems like intense to extreme is a major difference but the no ff eases it up. However it can get to be a rush knowing you gotta start all over if you fail...

I’m a new PS+ player too. It’s not about grinding. It takes about 5 hours to max out a class just playing normally with challenge cards on intense. The game will very much revolve around skill on the higher difficulties, it is possible to beat insane solo, or with no perks/attachments and base weapons.
