the only way they can possibly improve that assault mod is to give it some kind of healing, concussive, knock back AoE, or straight up micro thermal explosions on crit.

Fun fact, the Gruppa can't take Assault Brake.

It wasn't until just now with you talking hybrid optics that I realized how well designed that mod is. Hybrid optics, meaning it supposedly has two different sights, fixed bonuses relating to the lower zoom top sight, and situational bonus based on standing still and using the so called higher zoom bottom sight. Just REALLY well described, put together mod.

I try it out also new PfP of my rank Preset. The classic Colonial Marine outfit is my main preset over all. With the pulse rifle and pumpshot gun. But yeah what do think. And finally I rewatch IGN pathogen video. I notice bits of new clue to the games.

Hehe, I was wondering when you'd catch up to this one. I dragged one out to level when season 4 dropped, wanted to see if it was still horrible and was incredibly surprised! I'm still running the Casket but that's only because conditional modifiers mess with me, I need them to be consistent. I really like the thing now and I never thought I'd say that! :O

The ONE thing that brought me back to the Gruppa is its full-auto function. The Bombard has always been a fine gun, it has to be approached in a very different way though.

Question for you all: this may not be the best place to ask, but since it’s the most recent video thought maybe more would respond. With the addition of the Lancer, was wondering what peoples’ rankings would be overall for the classes. I’m just gonna post my personal thoughts below. Again this is taking all things into consideration, as each build can be made to work and depends on user skill, and I see positives in each. This is strictly opinion: Top Tier Overall: Gunner - solid class on its own, some of the highest DPS damage especially for elites but even for groups with the remote detonator grenade. Also Overclock ability just buffs and allows team to dish out a tone. Staple class for MOST any situation. Contender for top tier just a step under Gunner: Recon - Best support class overall, with PUPS and ammo replenishment with small health regen for team. Also has access to rifles and CQW’s, some of the most powerful weapons in the game. Can cover long range high damage snipers, but also close range high damage shotguns. Along with mapwide reveal, slow and damage buffs under PUPS, I’d say it’s very close to Gunner in overall team contribution. Second Tier: Technician - Excellent slow and control tactics, good close range damage, and excellent at controlling chokepoints and standoffs. I put this in a category of it’s own since I find it to be slightly under the Gunner and Recon in overall, but easily a fantastic class overall that can really change the outcome of battles. Third Tier: The rest. Doc - early on would have listed lower, but when not really viewed as a dedicated “healer,” I find it more useful for its Suppression Station ability and many buff and debuff options for team AND individual. With the newer perks available and rifle weapon capability, you can take advantage of a range of solo and team build options. Probably a bit more situational, but with the changes they made I don’t feel it deserves the lower rep it used to have. Demolisher - Great crowd control with its large AOE stun and knockdown effects, combined with heavy weapon capability for good damage. Downsides to me are only seen on higher difficulties, though disadvantages can be mitigated with a very skilled player. Lancer - Seems to be a very good utility option with similar capabilities as a substitute Demolisher. A little more defensive in some ways and a little more offensive on frontline, perhaps not as overall one size fits all as Demolisher, but has some very unique abilities that can synergize well with other builds. Phalanx - Niche playstyle, but nonetheless effective at what it does. Great tanky close range if you know how to utilize the class well... as Fioth had stated in stream, can be a slower more boring class to play, but don’t let that fool you, class can be used well in specific situations. Anyways, just my personal opinion based on my own experiences. Wondering what y’all think?

Very good thoughts my man. I'll eventually run an updated Tier of the Kits. Last time I did it we didn't have the Lancer and some of the other ones were in really bad spots.

@@MistaFiOth Awesome! Yeah I agree, since many changes have occurred since launch, I see a lot more viability in each class. Even though the overall structure of my personal rankings hasn’t changed too much, they definitely made some positive changes to the less popular classes that brings them up a bit. I’m also basing most of this on higher difficulty settings, in case newer players think I’m crazy for listing some of them lower haha

I run short controlled bursts and let’s rock for the auto shotgun. Really makes the weapon viable especially when overclocked. Since i’ve got those I feel I mine as well run the Gruppa or Astra. But not especially a fan of either.

For the Auto Shotty, you can just compensate with the Mouse/Aim Stick.

Before they fixed the broken 4 star bonus and the compact flash hider being broken as well the gruppa was top tier but now it's bottom tier. Pulse, kramer and 88 are far superior.

That's where the confusion lies. It's not an AR. It's a DMR. You mod it for Crits. Give it a go. (It was never top tier man... It was bugged).

The Season 4 ones can be acquired by doing Restock Turrets or by playing Campaign with a Form an Attachment Card. Thank you for your feedback my man!

I actually ended up getting the bandana pack with the digicamo etc. I rarely ever use cosmetics not tied to in-game unlocks, so having a bazillion more of them didn't really interest me. Horde Slayer all the way.
