Force multiplier 2 and 1 together occupy 3 slots and give 20% damage, while force multiplier 3 give only 18%.

Coils duration is 15 secs. You only need 33% recharge to get it down to 15. The damage multipliers barley add any additional damage. Two shot runners weather you use all damage multipliers or not. So I prefer to not use them. Those perks to make your turret stumble will cause zenos to slide thru cryos and they barely work anyway. Better off using CQW perks and down n out. How do you not have down n out on? That's a must have. Lol 20% extra damage to stunned or knock zenos. The tec is non stop stunning with maximize retention. Plus you get more damage from it when using the plasma shotgun. Tanker muzzle or anti-material break. Also the shotgun has slow from it's 4th perk. Giving another 15% damage from creative pain solutions perk. Burst pistol with right attachments can do 1100 weak point damage per bullet. 3300 per trigger squeeze. All this from maximizing the techs perks. You can basically buff your weapon damage almost 100% with the right perks ECT.... Still a decent build. Has room for improvement. It's almost my current fav build. Just get down n out on there pls. That's really bothering me. Lol

This was a Build JUST for the added DMG on the P. Turret. My main one for the Replacer is the Shock Therapy, and it's quite close to what you are describing. There is always room to tinker, but I wanted to see how much it could clear/add to the team DMG. It's not a tool geared towards this purpose, but wanted to push it nonetheless.

I built a tech build the other day along the same lines, I think the particle turret is amazing I don't know how people crap on it. I've noticed I have top or second kills and damage with the tech beating out some demos 😂

The Particle Turret's DMG numbers are counted, alike the Flamers. That's why. 🫣

Nice tech builds i prefer your shock build over overload because the dps can still come from my teamtes and I. what i want is more CC as much as i can and recharge speeds/duration for those coils especially throw like throw like 3 on the ultras extra 30% damage and insane slow down.

How do you get the particle turret perk? Is it a random drop?

You get the new Replacers by completing the Pathogen Campaign.

I have something similar. But switched in Scalable Machine Learning and Modular Integration - trading out both timers for the Coils. Pushing down a path of more personal control from my own weapons over reliance on the Turret. Historically I pushed turret damage up. But feel that the particle turret does not scale well with Force Multiple. (certainly Flame and Heavy do!). My next focus will be to back off Weak Point Damage attachments for Hand-Cannons. I want to get some idea what scales and what does not for the WP multiplier. Anyway, this build does have many similarities to what I have been using on 4-2 Standard for XP runs.

Yes, the Replacer will drop after you complete the Pathogen Campaign.

I have a probably stupid grid question, but when it comes to the damage/range/duration/replenish modifiers, putting the three and the one slot mods together gives 25% vs 22% on the four slot. Assuming you're just using four grid slots (or six), is there any benefit to not using a 3+1 over a 4? Same for 2+1 vs 3. Sorry if I'm not making sense, I mean like using the smaller mods together to fill the same number of grid slots as a larger one alone.

You are absolutely right, my man! Those smaller Mods were not always available. I believe that by the time I was making this, I hadn't gotten 'em all. Mix-maxing-wise, your suggestion is correct.

@@MistaFiOth I use the same build but add the CQW perk for extra ammo so I can take advantage of the damage bonuses the turret awards. I think you'll end up with more damage overall if you switch out the damage amplifier 4 for more ammunition. I feel more comfortable when I have that extra ammo to unload with the perk bonuses to damage. The turret is support, not star of the show.

If you wanna optimize though, you can always Build optimally and grab a Recon/Ammo Hoarder Card.

I have a theory that maximised retention has 33% chance per damage tick for some reason. That would explain why it almost always stuns.

Applies a lot of CC at any Range. If you ask me, it's the best choice.

You reference a soft cap on damage beyond 40% for Force Multiplier. Is this a bug or a separate game mechanic? If I go all in of FMs perks to get 60% damage multiplier, is the game not applying the full 60% to the turret? Or do you just mean it gets more expensive in terms of grid space? Thanks!

Look at it like this: Up to 40%, every % point gives you the same amount of DMG. After that, a % might give you, let's say 0,5%. Makes sense? It's common in many game genres.

@@MistaFiOth thanks! Yep, I think I understand. The damage applied is 1:1 and linear up to the soft cap, and then that ratio becomes less favorable above the soft cap. Are there other stats affected by soft caps? Is 40% a universal threshold across the board?

So my buddy and I just did the DLC campaign (On casual) and he didn't get the Particle Turret Perk. Is it difficulty or level locked?

You get it regardless of setting. Did you get the Replacers?

@@MistaFiOth I have them but I was already a higher level so I don’t know if there’s a prerequisite to them besides beating the DLC missions. Cuz we just did them for him as a Technician on all three dlc missions and he doesn’t have the Particle Turret perk.

It's purpose is Crowd Control. This Build is just an alternative if you want more DMG out of it. Imho, it's the best Turret atm.
