@Daniel Walker Who knows? The first (Skyline) is about Jarod and his newly/recently pregnant wife at a party when the attack happens. The second (Beyond Skyline) is this movie involving Rose, their child, which takes place during the same timeline if not right after. The third (Skylines), involves Rose 10 years later or something like that. It always comes down to money. As long as somebody wants to pay the cash, they'll keep making movies.

So all the biggest armies in the world didn't even fight the aliens by what we saw at least but the drug cartel and a drunk ex cop were able to defeat them with ease.... Okay. Most movies at least try to put some level of explaining to why the armies failed even if it's extreme levels of incompetence but this movie is just like nah imagine they don't exist and imagine some random drunk is able to over power all the aliens despite that clearly not even being remotely possible. As a sanity check I had to look up the rating of this movie after this video and thankfully I see it's sitting at a pathetic 5.3/10 which it deserves. My god writing for movies has got so bad over the years

It’s Hollywood movie magic. In actuality, if you were to stick a flare in the gas tank like that, the vapors ignite and a little fireball comes out. The tank swells up from the back pressure and the fire goes out if everything stays together. It’s underwhelming. If you watched a bunch of movies and thought you were going to blow up a car this way, you will be severely disappointed. Source: Me and a 1987 Dodge Aries that I had to smash with a farm tractor to vent my frustration for not blowing up because I was lied to for so many years by Hollywood.
