I liked the Marine's campaign because it made me feel puny and easily killed. I liked the Xenomorph's campaign because I could be the monster hiding in the shadows scaring the crap out of my victims. I liked the Predator's campaign because I felt like a badass when I took on the Marines and Xenomorph at the same time. But that's just my opinion. I still want to see a sequel though.

I felt a little underpowered at a predator. The one who can turn invisible. The one who can kill you with one shot. The most physically strong one. The one that can jump ridiculously high and has tons of gear. Oh yeah man, definitely underpowered.

i was one of the best marines on ps3 for months there was only a couple of hundred active players so u knew everyone and man predators are op as hell in mp they are worth 2 normal(alien/human) players usually

im not saying this just because im a fan of both xenos and preds, but, come on IGN. the game was so much better than what is said in this video. i agree on some parts with the melee was a bit dul, but the graphics have got to be some of the best ive seen besides crysis 2 and a few other games. i loved this game, i didnt like how short each campaign was and i wish you could've done more with the multiplayer but a 7.0 is not the correct score. the score should have been an 8.0 or an 8.50. its great on ps3 and xbox but even better on pc. if it said call of duty on the cover of the game, then IGN would have made it a frickin 10/10.

+Mees This one is actually the third in a series, so if you haven't played the first two (PC exclusive, as far as I know), you should try them out. They're both 14-15 years old, but they should give you something else to play. The first one is on Steam, but not the second one, for some reason.

Melee combat is awesome in this game. Only game that can match it is Condemned 2. Maybe the reviewer was expecting the downright easy melee combat of the past avp games.. Odd how he says this is the first AVP game since the 1999 original.. he clearly missed out on AvP2 which came out in 2001..

I like not being able to upgrade. It makes it so playing is more skill than gameplay time. A pro uses his skill to beat others, not better weapons. Also I thought the melee worked very well, because it was simple, but put a lot of skill into fighting real players as to when to use your heavy moves. My only complaint was that there was no local multiplayer. I wanted to play this while my friends wee around. But I still think it is really fun, and in my opinion deserves a sequel!

They need to create alien vs predator game, where you can free roam and customize your character (like in Skyrim), and like it was mentioned in this video, to have option to upgrade character with new abilities. I would like to be able to customize how predator will look in the beginning of the game, and later to change/modify his mask, armor and weapons. In the movies we barely learned who predators really are, it would be good to learn and maybe see more of their homeworld and history. We have seen games where you use stealth, special vision and always have to think of good strategies(sometimes you have to think twice about every move), so why not make this game even more like this?

Dryocampa yeah, but I’d have to be confined on a station/area to some level, aliens never stray too far from the queen unless required to. Maybe a hunting ground with Aliens/predators/humans battling it out....can you imagine walking through the forest with your squad, and at any moment a predator/alien could pop out and kill you.

This is definitly underrated... I had this game when it first came out, was getting all the top rated games pre order back then and despite liking many of them i couldn't stop playing this... online was just crack to me, survival, mixed species TDM and infestation, omg. Even though I understood some of the gripes people had, I don't think the hate was justified. Yeah there were flaws, but the online was so much fun whether with friends or when playing with good players. I'm thinking about repurchasing even though the multiplayer is pretty dead now. There just isn't anything like it. Hope someone makes another one.

I paid all my money for this game upfront i was not disappointed this is still one of my favorite fps games but that's just my opinion :) but i want my predator to look like campaign but there does not seem to be a way to change character model except mask any help would be great.

There is still a lot of players in multiplayer. To join the servers, u have to do this: In main menu press Multiplayer---> Player match--->Browse games---> then change the Server type from "Player hosted" to "Dedicated(internet)". And then click "Browse". Here we go! You found servers, now u can play, level up and have some fun.

Im not a huge alien fan but I bought the game n I got it by mail today so far I enjoy the game is a 8.0 is fun and in so,e levels I feel scared :( too dark so that's how you suppose to feel in a game like this I bought both alien games I gonna try colonial marines maybe tomorrow I know it had a low score but I don't care I have to play the game I don't buy games by scores I give them my own score

I love this game. Played the crap out of it during the Demo Days and is STILL playing it (game, not demo) and loving it!! If this game could fall into the right hands of a good game developer, it has alot of potential for a sequel. Same platform, just fix the glitches, add more maps, new skins and more campaign. It is an amazing game that is based off of skill only. No perks. No upgrades. Just skins and Skill.

I'll be the first to admit this game is most enjoyable if you're a diehard Alien/Predator fan, given its so-so design and questionable reuse of campaign maps. Still it's a solid enough shooter, it's got a unique aesthetic look and feel, and it's more diverse than most FPS's out there. For this life-long AP-fan, it's an easy buy. It ain't perfect, but it'll do just fine.

I thought the FP melee system was pretty well done. It made a triangle of strengths and weaknesses that were entertaining and challenging. Heavy is slow and breaks a block, blocks stop light attacks and leaves room for a counter, and the light attacks are fast and can stop a heavy attack. There was a focus mode for combat to make it even easier.

The Marines campainge is amazing. It's extremely scary if you ask me. As soon as I hear *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* I instantly get paranoid and run for a corner and scan the room so many times. As soon as I hear a facehugger or see an egg, I can't go into that room for ages because they scare me so much. The game has amazing graphics to this day and is extremely immersive. 10/10 for Marines (This is my opinion)

As A HUGE Alien and Predator fan i was quite satisfied with AVP. Sure the story wasn't all that well told and the gameplay here and there more or less lacked, but where the game did have it's strengths was in the authenticity. I liked how the xenomorphs looked and sounded as goes with the Predator, and enjoyed fighting off the alien creatures as a colonial marine. Saying that I had my fun with AVP and ignored its faults so I really did not complain that much whatsoever about it.

@actionist2009 What you needed to do (when you were in the jungle as predator) was to use the feature that lets you lure the humans out of sight of the others, then walk up behind them while cloaked, and finish them with a silent kill. Trying to do it without alerting the others is a very good challenge. Of course when the aliens come at you, you don't have this option. But I like the mix of stealth for taking out humans, and all out battle with the aliens.

@cazyazzdude Because in halo reach, armor costs credits and there is a lot of armor. This game just has skins that makes your character look different. In reach, you can customize every part of your armor and color.

The game had its issues yet it was a nice breath of fresh air away from generic FPS's. Some tweaking was needed before release and I feel the stories were quite short. They should take this, revamp it, tune it up a bit and remove some of the issues and we've got a great game on our hands. Not to mention who didn't love going form tree to tree and being a cloak assassin as the Predator, shit was tight only got spotted 3 times in the campaign.

i personally didnt find any complaints in myself about the melee tbh, the only complaint i have is how bloody long it takes to actually perform an execution, u gotta hold the button for like 3 seconds before anything happens, but i absolutely love everything else about this game, i personally think the graphics are damn good but its not graphics that make a game for me, its the gameplay, which was really good in this game
