The reason why the clone moved twice was because each body has a move order and you move first to push the clone then the clone moves again

There was multiple of the same box inside of itself during the clone level and at the near start of the game. The entire recursion concept is based off of that

You cannot do that properly without infinite dimensions. Because say you had a box with 2 copies of itself inside, one on the left and one on the right. That works as you zoom in. But if you zoom out, is the box on the left or the right? You have to make that choice and that breaks the symmetry. That's why they used clones instead.

Every single time I think that this game has hit its peak and cannot come up with any new mechanics I'm immediately proven wrong when it comes up with a new mechanic that completely changes the flow of the game and how you even think about completing any of the puzzles, who ever made this game is an absolute genius to come up with so much interesting ideas for such a seemingly simple concept.

Ummm... Actually, giving how in a video of GMTK, it's said that Baba is You basically took the "having an answer looking for a question" approach, this game might as well do the same. You start with a completed level and then try to undo it. Then, if there's something that looks way too easy to be figured out, add some obstacle to block the easy way.

i think it is better not to think of something as being a clone of the other, but clone being a property that dictates which box something appears and exits out of, with that caveat that it also contains the same interior shape. this is less confusing to let the player be the clone of something else also, having more than one player really makes me reminiscent over baba
