I am in my early 40s. Listening to this while I was in bed with my eyes closed brought me memories/flashback of my childhood. It brought me the feeling of the happy times and the innocence of my upbringing. Unable to stop time or travel back in time, listening to this also made me ready to depart this crazy world we are living in. God Bless everyone, and hopefully we can have Peace around the world.

For me at least, it was a magical time when this movie came out. It brings back a lot of nostalgia... One of the things that was great about the early 1980s was that Spielberg was still early in his career as a director/producer. We got to enjoy many films that were the product of his genius, E.T. being arguably the pinnacle of his achievements.
