I think the overall lessons from this test are: 1. Kayaks are only designed to go so fast. Once you reach optimum hull speed then trying to go faster is just wasted energy. 2. Good to have that motor when you are tired at the end of the day.. And of course make sure you order your Bixpy from Aliex!

Ohh yeah it is so crazy 🤪 I tested motors on so many boats and they have their limits like with torqeedo you are looking at 5.1ish mph max, bixpy is a bit weird some is 3.6 others 4.2

How good do u think the bixpy would perform on the compass duo? Bixpy Hobie® Mirage Pedal Adapter would be the better mount for the compass duo?

Probably go over 4mph max speeds, 2.8 to 3 mph at half for hours but you can have bixpy on one and pedal. With the other! 😁

You need to move your seat closer to the peddle drive. For some reason it works better when your knees are always bent. Its easier on your legs!

Predator PDL is already a heavy machine. How much the Bixpy set adds to that? Also. Would you be comfortable just with Bixpy alone? I mean leave the pedal drive at home and just use the PDL optional box - to reduce the drag and weight? Thx

Bixpy total weight is about 10# I would always take my drive and paddle with me

Great review....Question, can you use the original rudder that comes with the PDL? Meaning do you have to use the rudder you used or can you use the original rudder?

You can do the diy bixpy rudder kit, just cut the rudder blade accordingly

you should've pulled the pedals out and reduce the drag and see what the top speed is

If you pull the pedals the amount of water that comes thru the drive well is not fun it will make it go slower
