I would wait for v2 of the Cronos BB54 since this version’s bezel insert is glossy ceramic. I prefer matted aluminum insert.

I 100% completely agree! I would buy this watch but that glossy ceramic bezel ruins the whole look. It definitely needs to be in matt aluminum.

Hi,thanks for your picks. I've been looking at the SanMartin explorer and the air king homage. I've plenty of nh35s and I'm only looking at the model with high beat movments. Oh and the Proxima with the blue dial is another one I have my eye on.

I'll pick up a San Martin SN0109-G black dial with additional OTF clasp - have been sleeping on that for months. I'll also grab a Boderry Voyager white dial on NATO and pair it with a distressed leather Strapcode 22mm strap I have spare - should go nicely. That Proxima would look amazing if they made a PVD gold case with black + gilt dial, which would look great with that black rubber strap you have. As for that Seestern - it's really nice, but I prefer the Watchdives x San Martin Titanium 39mm Dive Watch (SN0121T). Both are nice though. Cronos BB54 looks pretty good but am not sure about the gloss dial and bezel treatment. In any case it's too small for my wrist. Thanks for showing these.

As another commenter has already stated, they messed up the Cronos BB54 with the glossy bezel. The watch they are homaging has a matt bezel. I hope they fix this with a v2, then I would buy the watch.

Watch #1 (SN0021) and watch #2 (SN0106) have no date window on the dial. When the crown is pulled to the 1st position, does it create a ghost date?
