Hi there. That’s a really nice looking bike my friend. I know this question is different from person to person, but what sort of range do you get from a full charge?? I’m buying one of these bikes but will also be using it for my commute to work. Kind regards.👍

Thanks for showing how awesome the Ultra motor is. No other motor compares. Curious on your thoughts....Sounds like your Ultra has the metal gear. When I bought my #2 Ultra FS I was so annoyed by the sound of the new metal gear I swapped my motors so my main FS bike had the nylon gear. So much quieter and as long as you stay at 1500w youll never need the noisey metal gear. Nylon only begins to fail with 2000/3000w crazy upgrades. 👍👍👍

These are great motors! I just got the 2022 FREY AM 1000. What a beast! I was out today for my first ride. Was waiting for the snow to stop, had quite the snowfall but today I got her out and I am still smiling lol. If I were to go with a build on say my Specialized, I would go with the CYC X1 Stealth Mid Drive and a 52 volt battery.

@@kaywoodparsons1874 That is so awesome!! FREY is GREAT!! I Bought the Juggernaut Ultra FS - 52V. Just an all around great bike as well. Can't help myself though I upgraded alot. DT swiss Big Ride rims/Hubs as well as Manitou Mastodon fork upgrades were worth every penny. For tires I ride 4.8 F and 4.3 R Surleys. Good luck with your ride.

Would you recommend clipless pedals on an ebike? Thanks
@gravitycheckmtb3 жыл бұрын
I’m experimenting with that now. The main benefit of clip list petals is the power advantage on climbs but with an Ebike you don’t need that. But I think if you’ve always rode with clip list petals you’re probably going to still have a control advantage over flat. Personally I ride flat petals but it is something I’m experimenting with.

Wht donyou think of the sondors rockstar bikes with the g510 motor. ? It cost $2599 and than u can upgrade parts later
@gravitycheckmtb3 жыл бұрын
Well I think it’s a cool looking bike. The range could be better. Probably because this bike weight almost 90lbs! Which is insanely heavy for a trail bike. Also wish it was available on 29” and not just 27.5. Again with the 48T sprocket this bike really isn’t designed well for trail riding but more for top speed running. I think the price is nice for what you get but I think the bike is a little limited in its capabilities.
@Mark268792 жыл бұрын
@@gravitycheckmtb the frame is for 27.5 also It’s what I’ll be using I’m going enduro tho 180mm fork And a 200x57 shock to give me 170mm rear travel My friend has the old frame like this and it works very well

Would be nice to have a double battery option and 52 volts. I have the old frame and its 1.3kg lighter, 4ah more battery and 400/500 watts more powerful. I think if they want to improve this bike frame they need to allow bigger higher voltage batteries.
@nordicbrah17733 жыл бұрын
you could build a custom battery with more volts and cram it into the frame. im planning on doing just that. same frame and 52+ volts. saw andy kirbys video where he had 72V on this motor but I think that's overkill imo :)
@gravitycheckmtb3 жыл бұрын
To be honest for trail use it’s not needed. This isn’t something like a commuter bike for road. For trail it’s easily enough to ride multiple days without charging. If that’s the use I think there are better bikes to build that allow larger higher voltage batteries.
@sgsuper11503 жыл бұрын
@@gravitycheckmtb I don't understand the comment. 52 volts is better off road. 48 volts would be for commuter use but then is limited in capacity.

@andrewgardner71043 жыл бұрын
I looked at buying a similar frame battery and motor combination from the shop you got yours from on aliexpress, but the £350 shipping charge ,and import duty’s and taxes of over 25% to England put a halt to it. It would have been around £850 taxes and shipping. It’s a shame but by the time you’ve spent money. on wheels, cassette, saddle post, forks etc it gets expensive. Nice bike though.

Hello, what's the ebike weight? I've see frey bikes, are they really 40kg?!
@gravitycheckmtb3 жыл бұрын
This bike weights in at 66lbs or 29kg. Which is not bad when you consider the Trek Rail with a carbon frame is 52lbs. This bike has more power and much more range than the Trek rail for not much more weight added. The weight has it's pros and cons. The bike soaks up a lot of it and carries momentum on the downhill. On the uphill you have the motor to make up for the weight.

I was wondering if that bike name is the name of the manufacturer or the model. If possible I'd like to get more information regarding that particular manufacturer off of AliExpress.
