It’s definitely a good power to weight ratio but anytime you have a 600 sized helicopter on 6S the power is definitely down when you get hard on the sticks.But it’s light!

I really wonder what the weight difference is. Because if you go 12s you run 3300mAh packs and I’m running a 6s 6200mAh so it’s gotta be around the same?

I will weigh them but I think it is about 900g heavier the way I have it setup. 6000mah 6s VS 5000mah 12s

@@CoryTrese 5000mAh 12s is a lot for that heli. What’s your flight times? I know on the 12s RAW 580 and Piuma I run 12s 3300mAh.

It does feel heavy. The manual lists 3300 to 5200, I have tried both ends of the spectrum. With 12s 5000mAh I'm getting around 7 minutes of sporty flying and the cells end up at 3.75 after landing. I fly the batteries I have -- I have not purchased any for the TB60 specifically. Maybe I will ask you for your recommendations on the Patreon channel. I really appreciate your help over there, nice to get feedback from a pro!

12s5000 is way too much for a 600. 3300 is the rite set up.

I can definitely do that. I’ve got a few helis I need to tune. Biggest issue is each FBL is different so I’m going to make a Vbar and iKon tuning video to start. What FBL do you fly?

Hey Jeff, love your Videos! You brought me into the Hobby and all i know to this day i learned pretty much from you. 2 Years ago i got myself an OMP Hobby M2 and already put some upgrades on from Microheli. Back in the Summer i built my first Helicopter. I went with the SAB Goblin Raw420 and made everything with your tutorials. Im looking forward to fly this beast for the first time soon. I would like to ask if it is possible to upload your Videos in 1440P or higher. Eventhough they're really good, this would step up the Quality by a lot. If not its fine anyways. Have a great Day ! Glad I found your channel man. I have a few old nitro flybar setups I’ve had forever and a couple gas/electric planes. Thinking about finally building something flybarless due to lack of parts for mine. Goblin 580 raw nitro seems right up my alley after watching you with yours. normally I set LVC to 2.8v but for some reason this one never saved and it was 3.6v!

Nice flying! Question, how are you making your radio tell you the percentage left on your flight battery? That's not Spektrum telemetry is it or is it?

He's using VBar on this one. I set the battery usage percentage to 65% on My VTouch. That usually ends up at about 3.80v/cell, so i don't have to spend lot's of time storage charging my packs.

I am using Vcontrol on this helicopter. With spektrum you can only get a voltage call out and not a percentage call out like the Vbar.

Nice flight Jeff. You fly the first part of this video at “low head speed”. Do you know approximately what rpm you’re at? I’m working on dialing in my TB60 as well.

Thank you! So I’m running 1500-1900-2200. I have run 1400 RPM as my bank 1 (low head speed) and it does great but gotta be careful on the stick and run more pitch. But I found 1500 RPM to be a perfect balance for low head speed.

Ok 1500, that’s quite low - it’s flying real nice for you. I’m at 1600 right now but I should add that mine is the 12s version. I’m gonna take it up to 1700 for my next flight.

Thx for asking Jeff. All of my helis are set up on a Futaba transmitter with a Futaba receiver and microbeast flight control. For this heli I used the Futaba flight control. (760R) I have been thru the setup three times with a fine tooth comb, but something just doesn’t feel right on my test flights. It doesn’t have the stable, locked in feeling that I’m used to and it also seems as tho it wants to track left and lose forward drive at times. I’ve had a couple of near crashes. I’ve been working with it for about two weeks now. When you posted this video yours was flying so well I said to myself “that’s exactly how mine should fly!” I ordered a Microbeast and Futaba receiver; they arrived yesterday and I’m installing them this morning. I’ll test fly it today and let you know what happens! Thx Jeff!

Jeff, I’m finally gettIng back to you with an answer. I ended up seeing it through with the futaba flight control and I’m glad I did. Yes I was having both tail issues and the cyclic just felt “off”. I communicated with another heli guy who has way more experience than I with futaba; he saw two errors, one with my transmitter setup and one with the gyro itself. Once those errors were corrected the tail wag was completely eliminated, the “weird” flight characteristics gone, now flies as smooth as glass. I couldn’t ask for more. Excellent heli!

WOw that low-voltage cutoff. I was wondering why the ESC would do that when I recently got me a heli and basically crash landed twice because of that. I gotta tell ya, I'd rather damage a LiPo and replace it than having to take all the other stuff apart and source parts and stuff. I'll be disabling that s***. ;) cheers

So I normally set LVC to 2.8 V Per cell, because depending on the Lipo voltage sag can go down as low as 3.2 V per cell. Under hard load. But for some reason when I updated the ESC and redid the set up, it never saved and it was at 3.6 V per cell so under that hard load it dropped and hit LVC.

Your the Pilot has little to do with heli but it is well built

The helicopter, mechanical and electronic set up has a lot to do with it. You could be the best pilot in the world and make a helicopter look good but if a helicopter is not set up properly or mechanical geometry, and so on is not right, it will never be perfect. But it is definitely a well-built machine.
