American coffee is like muddy water . Sorry to say but it has been bastardised by flavours, syrups, creamers and sprinkles not to mention a million different milks. Coffee should be short, small, dash of milk crème if required or just coffee crème itself - it’s an experience- it’s a hit - it’s a custom . It’s all about a little bean 🫘

The bride was beautiful, loved the traditional clothes they changed into later. Weddings that involve one of the couple being African, not your traditional English wedding. If both are African another level. Nigerian traditional engagement is so much fun (better than the Church wedding), but the after party after the reception is something else

Bridesmaids' dresses were awesome. The Bride looked lovely and the Groom's speech was so sweet. Ali unbuttoning his shirt as if he were going to attend the wedding dressed like that-- was hilarious! On coffee, yes we Americans' the coffee isn't as good here as in Italy of course. You know I pass on coffee every day here but in Italy I always have a bitter espresso- no sugar with a croissant, that has either chocolate or Marmalade in it. The Amalfi coast looked awesome - as usual. I miss the smell the many oranges in the air- and the delicious lemons over some "Calamari Fritti" yes, Fritti heheh.

Your comment re Germans cracked me up because in early spring of both 1994 and 1998, my husband & I, both tall & fit cyclists (we brought our race bikes) traveled from Oregon (state north of California) to France & Germany. We were flummoxed by all the hotel and restaurant staffs mistaking us for Germans. I think it must’ve been due to our touring in mid-April-pre tour season. Laughs all round & instant friendships when explaining in our horrible French or Italian that we were country bumpkins from Oregon 😅.
