It’s really a testament to how good these NBA dudes are at being good FATHERS. Gil, Carmelo, Carlos Boozer, even Lebron. Those kids are set for life. They didn’t HAVE to work THAT hard at ANYTHING. They coulda just been lazy, spoiled, entitled rich kids that were handed everything. But they still were taught the values of working hard, being on a team, etc. etc. and the fact they actually worked hard enough to even make it to the D1 P5 college level of basketball. Even that itself is the upper echelon of basketball players. Like the top .0001% in the country. You gotta work your ASS off. Not just physically but mentally. To me it says a LOT about these dads to see their ultra-rich kids working so hard at something they love. They don’t have to do it to make it out the hood or build something for their families. Their parents already did that. Gil’s kid is gonna build something for Gil’s GREAT-grandchildren.
