“Anyone capable of love, is capable of being saved,” Caroline of The Vampire Diaries. Darkling is capable of love. He loves his people, and he loves Alina, no matter what people say or think about it, it's a fact. So there is hope for him ... and I hope the writers take this opportunity, instead of following Leigh Bardugo's frustrating, inconsistent, and problematic writing. That would be a waste, as they have gold in their hands with such a character, and a relationship like Darklina. If they don't end up together, no big deal, but at least I demand that the relationship continue to be properly exploited (season 1 at this level is much better than in volume 1), and a redemption for Alexander!

I haven't read the books but I've heard that the series is much more mature and better written, so it's not impossible that they change Alexander's fate. Let's hope for the best ✨

@@achingheart I've only read the first book but to me it seems like Leigh had this beautiful, amazing idea in her head and wasn't quite sure how to put it on paper. As an author myself I know how that feels. She really just needed some help with detail and depth, in my opinion
