When you’ve spent your whole life living abroad it’s honestly impossible to really know what living in Pakistan is like. Straight up never in a million years did I initially picture my life here to be the way that it is. In the time that I’ve spent here, the two polar opposite sides of living in Pakistan always blew my mind and for the longest time, I’ve wanted to be able to turn the things I see on a day to day basis into something other people could see and understand too. So here’s “living in Pakistan” through my eyes.

Lmao sup. I just moved here from NY to Lahore. Like literally this January. And I love how people understand more of our western culture than we understand theirs. Btw I live in DHA and its kinda epic. Theirs a McDonald’s, epic restaurants and nice schools (well kinda). And even in those schools you’ll still find people from abroad that came to Pakistan for the same reason as you xD. Also I underestimated before I got here how much Urdu I needed to learn. I could say I fitted in but idk I think some stuff are missing :/

You can go to behria town that's even better to Defence.. defence is actually DHA (Defence Housing Authority) which was once the area given to the retired army officers and was under thr observation of Army itself. In lahore, you can move to Behria or Defence or even Model Town. All are way better than the ones in Karachi.

Fizza Shaikh Pakistan has a lot to offer as a tourist location in the undeveloped paths up north. It’s a beautiful place and the people are great. But it is also a third world country so what do you expect?

@@fizzashaikh1418 I kind of agree. It's the same argument as moving from Village to a City tho. Don't you think village has some of it's own charm? Just like that there is a special taste to life in Pakistan that isn't present anywhere else.
@MuhammadHassanHTechreviews2002
@MuhammadHassanHTechreviews2002 4 жыл бұрын
@@fizzashaikh1418 Move out of the country you were born in and serve the one you adopted because of its comfortable way of life. This selfish mentality of the Pakistani upper class and unfortunately most of our brilliant people is what's harming us the most. If only half of our genuinely talented people that move abroad to seek a better life were to stay back and persist no one would need to move abroad ever again. If only people could let go of their selfish needs and try and contribute to the greater cause of trying to better our own homeland we would be way better off. One human lifetime in the grand scheme of things is insignificant and if one spends one's time in trying to benefit one's self only and not trying to give back to one's country then such a person has wasted their life away because that already developed country isn't going to care about you coming or going but if you were to work for the wellbeing of your own country and positively try to change it for the better then you will leave your impact and your legacy behind. Running away is easy, persisting in the face of hardships to benefit one's motherland is very difficult but revolutionary change doesn't happen overnight. It takes a lot of time and effort.

Social media in pakistan is on developing stage i would suggest you to do proper research and then go over there why not come to visit India ! Here every state has their own identity and cultures if you think I'm just bluffing then you can go to pakistan ! But my point is why do you need unnecessary guards and all ! Here in India you will be free to do anything but just need some presence of mind to deal with some people which every country has ! Lots of love from 🇮🇳

Unless you have lived abroad,or have a broad mind,you arent really going to understand Alina's difficulties in moving to Pakistan after living abroad for her whole life.Pakistanis always seem to turn their nose up at returnees or insist that bahar kay loag kay nakhray bohot hein.Why is it hard to understand that they grew up in a different culture,and different standards?These are your own citizens who have come back for whatever reason.Taunting them or telling them to go back where they came from is revealing more about locals than they realise.Also she has stated her mom's a foreigner and her dad's Pakistani.Give her a break.She is going to compare,everything is new for her.Many people don't like the smell of local milk,bottled water is strange...and can make you sick..that's why the water has to be boiled before you drink it.She is saying that she realises she lives in a privileged part of Karachi,but even that's new to her and shes trying to navigate through it.what I'm getting from the video is that she is experiencing culture shock,and shes trying to be positive.Trying to help her,give her suggestions and help her adjust would be kinder,and give her a positive outlook here in Karachi.

Istg all this negativity that you see in her videos’ comments section is one of the very reasons Pakistan is still so behind! In all these negative comments, you either see jealousy or ignorance. There’s literally no in between! To all the ignorants asking why she’s “representing” a negative image of Pakistan- it is NOT her responsibility to represent anything about Pakistan. She’s simply voicing her experience living in Pakistan after having moved from a place VERY different from Pakistan. If you have a problem with it, just don’t watch her videos? My home in Karachi is at Khayabane Rahat, I saw that cenima you showed in the video, I was there in Pakistan last year as my girlfriend wanted to see karachi she also was shocked to see so many people working in my home ,since my house is big therefore we require few extra people like 2 gardners, 2 maids a separate cook (haji is our cook and his entire family served my family and his children are in the same leauge) and several guards as dad serves in Ministry of commerce so it is very different then Graz Austria where I live and despite visiting karachi rarely like once in 3 years may be it is very close to my heart cus of my dad I love him and he lives there, my mom is from Bosnia but we moved to Austria like 7 years ago , I love the food there though my stomach always give up but I still love that. Nice Video stay tight ! EDIT: City is a Gem if they start cleaning more specifically the beach my heart literally bleeds with so much plastic and garbage!

As a British Pakistani, whose family orginates from Karachi. I can tell you for a fact that you are living the Privilege Lifestyle over there. I have been to Karachi many occasions, it's a great city 👌 Currently, Karachi is under a huge development as well with recent Skyscrapers being built up. However, my family comes from the poorer districts and still choose to live in there. Often when I do travel I tend to go to the 'fancy places' like Cliffton and the DHA areas. Believe me there's a VAST difference in lifestyle and people you meet there compared to those outside the privlidge inner-circle. Your houses in DHA can range between £150,000 - £2million (depending on districts). Still it's worth noting, that for the lower-end of the Market you can find a 4 bedroom property, which for £150,000 is none existing to have that home in the UK. Houses are better and cheaper in short, compared to the West. But, if you going to live in Karachi, you better have a Job or Business that pays you very nicely.

its soo amazing that you're aware of your privilige and care for people that are not as priviledged as you. I am an alumni of Nixor and I've been a part of that bubble that you speak of. I realized that there are soo many people that are not aware of their priviledge and aware of the fact that they are part of the top 0.1% of pakistan. This makes them less grateful and less empathetic human beings. I have no shame in admitting that I am a priviledged citizen of this country. Its very important to recognize this and be thankful to your parents and Allah for everything you have.

Hey Alina. I usually dont go for these sort of things and I was really hoping for someone to touch this topic. We have been studying this aspect for a really long time now. These Suburbs are primarily there to detach you from the realities of life. More like mall of residencies. At first, I thought you'd be like usual peeps, (99%) who get impressed by the facades but it turns out you experienced the shallowness first handed. These heterotopic spaces are fragmenting the fabric of the cities, small islands in themselves.

Instead of critiszing people for saying the truth, maybe we should all focus on actually improving things that can improve Pakistam's "image". Yes her followers are from Pakistan, this does not mean she should lie about being in love with Pakistan when she's not or that she should naturally love everything about Pakistan. Why don’t you ask her the amount of money they spent for a house in Doha phase 8 then convert it into your foreign currency. Most of the Pakistan is lower and middle class. This wasn’t the true representation of Pakistan. I am a Pakistan lived there for 25 years of my life and moved to west last year only.

A Burger boy/girl is a person who pretends to be a foreigner. She actually lived in New Zealand her whole life, so she’s not pretending. Burgers are spoiled brats who’re always crying, running to their parents complaining about everything. Burgers pretend that they’re from abroad when they’re really not. They’re always wearing western clothes and rarely ever shalwaar kameez.

I like the concept of the Defence bubble. In Pakistan, there are other private housing societies like Bahria Town that also offer a decent lifestyle. However, the Defence bubble is a phenomenon where you get all the essentials within the same vicinity, and your life pretty much revolves around these privileged areas. This can lead to the misconception that most Pakistanis live similarly, when in reality, such people make up no more than 20% of the population. Many private housing authorities are owned or run directly or indirectly by the Army. Therefore, if you aim to live a decent and privileged lifestyle in Pakistan, you might need to consider areas owned by the Army, as they are the ones who control Pakistan, rather than civilian Governments.

Beautiful life is, having your family back and siblings to tease. People with clean hearts, sharing your pains and also sharing your happiness are the things which really matters in life. Alhamdulillah I am living in Lahore most beautiful area but whenever i visits Karachi especially Korangi for some family events. I always thinks how helpful and happy are these people. Whenever you got lil trouble 5 to 10 completely strangers to help you. Whenever, i talk with the people about issues they are optimistic. They always said Alhamdulillah for what they have and Inshallah for betterment. Self satisfaction in them is out of this world. In the end what we wants is just self satisfaction

i was born and raised in Saudi Arabia till i was 12, i spent my whole childhood as a completely spoiled rich child, being used to seeing big villas and the latest sports cars everywhere, eating in the luxurious hotels and café's every weekend. But when i came to Pakistan my life completely changed, see, my house in Pakistan isn't in the defence bubble, its where the burgers and bun kebabs meet 😂 the middle. Im 20 now, and what i learned living here is that the rich lifestyle is amazing and shit no doubt but the thrilling fun of having a midnight drive to the sea view with all your cousins cramped in just one car or taking out every penny out of every one of your bags to contribute in ordering pizza at 5 o clock in the morning with your friends is unmatched.
