I can't recall whether this was ever explained in the anime, but she was the one who created the storm that ended up drowning Kaito's parents. Think about how powerful of a storm you'd have to start in the Indian Ocean to be capsizing boats in Japan.

The only time he went against her was when he felt hurt but even so, he couldn't bring himself to hurt her for long, let alone kill her. In the end, he loved her and forgave her and because of that I don't think he'd ever cross her.

I love this version the most! It gave me goosebumps. I love the "darkness"/"bitterness" of the Japanese version/lyrics. There is also nothing "sweet" or "soft" about her voice there. Each word came out strong and sharp, almost "stabbing". For me, the Japanese version conveyed well how Sarah's perception of love became jaded and twisted after her lover "abandoned" her. A scorned woman, no doubt. I LOVE IT!

I relate to Sara's song while she is hurt still from her past of Taro up and leaving without saying goodbye. Because my senior year of high school my at the time girlfriend who was my childhood best friend broke us up and did so infront of the chocolate fountain. Chocolate is something meaningful to me because my dead gram loved chocolate. So for me to get my heart broken by my first ever girlfriend in front of something that reminds me of a lost loved family member hurts just as much as Sara was hurt.
