Hi Alina! Prince Edward Island is quintessentially beautiful! Going back to my grad student days at the U of S, Saskatoon and PEI roughly had the same population. Today, Saskatoon has roughly 100,000 more inhabitants! PEI was also the home of colorful Canadian singer / storyteller Stompin' Tom Connors (from Skinners Pond): "It's Bud the spud from the bright red mud, rolling down the highway smiling. The spuds are big on the back of Bud's rig. They're from Prince Edward Island. They're from Prince Edward Island!".

Great video shots and choice of music. PEI was always our summer vacation when our kids were small. We would rent a cottage and take the kids to lots of kid-friendly parks, etc. My second favourite place in all of Canada and I live in the 'other island' just across the bay -- Cape Breton

PEI is like all the Maritimes, is a place on my list that I haven't been and probably won't get to for a while. As a prairie boy all I know about the place is from people I worked with who were from the province, and TV. As I think I mentioned I was Ueno Park in Tokyo during Sakura season and a women came up excited because she thought I was an American. When I informed her I was a Canadian, she really got excited and asked me all about Anne Of Green Gables. I've never read the book, but had seen a few bits of the TV series so I could fake a little knowledge on the subject which satisfied her. Your PEI trip looked great. Someday maybe.

Korean peninsular is so small so few places to visit and unable to feel the various changes of weather nor geological diversity. Just A few hours drive would drive us any tip of the territory. Some place which is knowned for nice place is always full of people. You know it is very blessed thing that you can enjoy those beautiful and serene places with few people because you were born as a canadian. I always see the state Canada as such a point of view.

Welcome to PEI! I’m so happy you were able to visit us! I’ve lived here my whole life (35 years). I was born and raised on a family farm located on Route 2. It was famous for being on the tourism website, and in the geography book in high school. There’s ribbons that you can get for visiting the lighthouses located on the farthest Northern tips of the island. It’s a big thing to travel from tip to tip here. If you’re still here, or next time you visit. I recommend visiting the “Singing Sands beach”. The sand squeaks when you walk on it. There’s a scientific reason for it, but I currently don’t know why. One of the best lobster suppers is found at New Glasgow Lobster Suppers. They have the best air rolls I have ever tasted. Delivered warm and fresh to your table. Camping here is great because we don’t have any dangerous animals, and the crime rate is very low. The summer is our busy season. There’s a final tourist rush in September. We’re currently trying to become an all year tourist destination. COWS ice cream is popular here too. I wish you and your family all the best! Thank you for visiting. Please comeback to visit. I get the greatest travel inspiration from your videos. I’m eagerly awaiting being able to travel to Phuket.

LONG after this video I just learned that PEI has an immigration crisis. The premier is trying to find a solution for large numbers of overseas arrivals. It is a general confederation-wide problem, but PEI is tiny compared to the rest of the provinces. Sad. I loved Alina's presentation, thinking "here's a place with affordability. Like Milton's Paradise Lost.

Yes, Anne of Anne of Green Gables is the book my wife has read and why she wants to visit PEI. ( yes, that book, definitely not a guy thing, shoot my one Grandmother just went down and applied at the glass plant in the early 1900's, the only place that would hire women in SW Pennsylvania besides a boarding house for the young men miners) Sorry Ryan, but I buzzed through your 13th best whatever & an ad popped up to assist in my expedite through that portion of the video. Island looks quiet in the beginning of off season and like there is not a lot of touresty stuff unless its Anne of Green Gables. If I make it there I will just have to get through the Anne of Green Gables stuff so that I can enjoy the rest of the Island.Actually, PEI doesn't sound like a bad ace to visit.

Not sure about anyone else, but when I see these remote lodgings, I always wonder certain things. How is it electrified? How is it possible to handle sewage. Wherever one happens to live or event book, some basic things always will be an issue. Camp in the woods? Dig a latrine. Even the many people who "house" themselves in RVs have the same issues as those who can afford some standard housing. Nice standup shower, but that means water coming in, dirty water going out. Yeh, the surroundings are very comforting and sweet, but housing is housing.
@AlinaMcleod Жыл бұрын
There's a lot of people who live on acreages or remote living places. No, it's not easy but it's definitely doable. Anyone who lives in those kind of places obviously has to know what they're doing and know how to fix a lot of things themselves.

It is fashionable to talk about exotic locations and to think Canada is only about big cities. The reality is that Canada has endless opportunities for quality living most people can only dream about. Take my advice, get away from Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver! I have family from PEI. I visit often. Canada's smallest province is a true gem. Affordable housing, a laid back lifestyle, plenty of services, low crime, beautiful scenery and easy access to large urban areas.
