this radio DJ-V57T has too many features including features useful during Fox Hunt Radio Direction Finding event. just feed frequency into it's any one of dedicated 1 to 10 transmitter Finding memories ,and the radio indicates the relative distance to the transmitter by the signal strength of the detected signal!
As transmitted signal gets stronger, a beep will sound in shorter intervals and becomes faster.
when signal is too stronger, use of built in 10dB or 20dB Attenuator is advisable.
if the transmitter is transmitting audio ,this can also be heard by pressing monitor switch on Radio.
Apart from these function, this radio also has limited scan function between 2 lower and upper limit frequency. it is designed fir upto 1m submersible waterproof!
Also to be mentioned its Dual VFO split operation,very useful during satellite communication!
Other functions worth mentioning, it has user defined adjustable power adjustment 1-3 watt for middle Power,apart from fixed output 500mW for Low,5Watt for High. Can be powered through external power supply from 7 to 16VDC!
