I have added in a few different cards which allows you to play a bls or if you don't like that way also a way to use Athena which is a pretty nasty card in this deck.

If the fusion/fusion helper ever get released, will you throw them into the deck as it is now? Both of those cards have only been in the show so far but they seem pretty good. Fusion can't be destroyed by battle and destroys everything that battles with it while reflecting the damage. The fusion helper lets you fuse itself+a melodious from your hand without Poly.

Two of my local players have this deck,different builds, and they both love it. As you seen in the discussion group, one was able to go into Number: 106 Giant Hand and Blood Mefist on separate occasions. Though I'm a cunt for lending them to him ;)

For a bit of a funny setup with this deck, I have it as a Pendulum deck with Stargazer and Timegazer. With the scale, I try to get out Aria and Elegy as soon as possible and have the field spell "The Sanctuary in the Sky"(all battle damage to the controller of a battling fairy-type monster is 0). To my knowledge, only 2 cards can stop this aside from the gods and otks. Then I have Cestus of Dagla(+500 atk to a fairy, gain all damage you do as LP)as an equip spell for Mozarta. With the right cards, this deck is next to unstoppable, and damn near invincible.

Great deck man, i have been testing this build in ygopro and the combos are great, the opponents always surrendered because they cant beat the special summoned melodious.

I'm still testing my version of this deck, but did you ever think of using Darklord Desire? A 3000 beater that you can just dump a Sonata or Cannon into the grave for. I'm not sure how well it will go, but I am still testing.

I think I will stick to Valhalla + 2 Hecatrice. Valhalla can allow you to summon ALL Fairy-type monsters, not only those with 4 or lower level. First turn Mozarta/Kristya followed by other plays? Count me in.

In mine i run torrential, raigeki and dark hole... both torrential and dark hole doesn't effect your monsters when you have elegy. Plus helps, because you tend to run into lack of plays and you sit doing nothing a lot of times... nice to clear the board, and its almost like having 3 raigeki

maybe you should try shopina and hecatrice along with valhalla. shopina can be used continuosly bringing back honest, hecatrice,not just melodius

that's a pretty good question :) it is a light and fairy monster, though the only thing is that it has less benefits than archlord kristya (despite neither player can SS), though if you find a way to make ruler work. then that would be pretty cool :)

it only brings out level 1 light monsters only,in which most melodious are level 3, 4, or higher. unless there are level 1 light monsters that can synergize well with melodious,?

I would much rather run Valhalla hall of the fallen than celestial transformation. But i also play a transmodify build so that may be the difference.

valhalla is useless when there is field presence, on top of that easily mst. Also, celestrial and be used as a quick spell when needed

I'm using the Melodious Archetype for the Regional Qualifiers that's coming up in 2 weeks and am wanting to be competitive with it. I have all the core cards minus a few spells and traps. Will be a good deck to run or should I make a different one?

It depends. Since it is the Regional Qualifiers, expect meta obviously. But like I said, it depends. I've played Melodious, in fact I made a deck profile about them. They are a deck that once they're wiped out, it's hard to come back unless you have some decent backrow. I got a question though? Have you tried Guiding Light? It's really great for getting your stuff back from the grave and setting up combos. You are left with a monster with 0 atk, I think that's it's attack, but it's a really great card for late game.

I don't even run mozarta, her ability is ehh there are other cards that do that and since i noticed this archetype needs draw power as it is you probably won't have much cards in your hand to use her effect. I prefer running 1 francos due to the fact you can bring a grave monster to hand then Special summon that monster. Lot more useful of a tool. But the biggest issue with this deck is you burn your hands to fast, or you need to many combo cards to do anything. This archetype needs more draw power, or search power i prefer the first.

Tyler Kim no it doesn't not even close...most come from self special summon, and magic cards not her. Shoot I've seen the decks top even mine without even running her. She can't ss herself you must tribute for her or have her in grave. She's shit, I'd rather use the one that pics from grave, since you go through your monsters quickly. So I'd rather pluck out monsters I want and use their abilities to ss themselvd5

Tyler Kim Mozarta is debatable. If you do run her, I suggest one. I've played a different build where it's Melodious but with support of level 5 fairies (and Guiding Light), and Mozarta doesn't do much in the deck. I mainly use her to ss serenade and then tribute for Shopina. But that's my deck.

avaris1280 But they're overlapping engines. The point of melodies is to swarm with their monsters to prevent your opponent from attacking, and dealing damage. Artifacts swarm, but they don't stop attacks, see what I mean?

Adding an engine isn't necessarily always about accenting what your deck already does, but rather lending something to it which it lacks, which in this case is the ability to actually deal with your opponent's board, rather than just defending your own.
