I forgot to mention that I appreciate you mentioning the aspect where you saw a Low Vision Specialist. They are so underrated, but highly needed for anyone who is legally blind. Also, many ophthalmologists never even refer patients out to them. This should be mandatory.

awww TYSM and yes low vision specialist and adaptive technology specialists are so essential aI wish they were more affordable and accessible though

Alisha, I rarely comment on YT videos, but this one deserves a comment. Firstly, thanks for sharing your story with us. It was an honor to listen to you. You are articulate, beautiful, brave, intelligent, witty and the list goes on. The most important thing, though, is that you are touching so many people with your story. We all have our crosses to bear in life and it's what we do with those crosses that makes all of the difference and you are using yours to do God's work for sure. Never stop sharing, because someone, somewhere needs to hear your testimony. And, of course, we want a Part 2. Have a blessed rest of your day.

well thanks for taking the time to comment! It's so true losing vision taught me that everyone has 'something' and connecting to yourself and your narrative helps you better connect to others or better let's people know their stores are meant to be told too

Hi Alisha! I am from France, I'm 40 and a mother of two. I've been recently diagnosed with Stargardt disease but I'm waiting for my genetic results ton confirm it. My right eye is more damaged, I can still see normally thanks to my left eye and I hope my vision will remain stable for as long as possible. Discovering your channel has been very impactful and I love the positivity you demonstrate ! I have started to open myself to spirituality, positive energies and do a bit of yoga ! Thank you for being such an inspiration !

Great video Alisha definetly can relate to what you've been thru. You should do a collab/pod cast/chat room with other visually impaired/legally blind ppl from T.O telling there experiences would be a cool video.

Thanks Alisha for making this video. I'm going through the throes that you've already gone through with trying to find answers to my strange vision problems and getting depressed about it cos no doctor can diagnose me. For the past year and a half my vision has been slowly dimming as if someone is turning down the lights but it gets better and worse at random but overall gets worse. So it's hard to accept that it may not go back to how it once was and me being an artist too makes it especially hard to come to terms with that possibility...

You are so inspiring! I have diabetic retinopathy and my vision has been getting worse and worse since I had my daughter. She'll be 3 on February 14th. She is such a little girlie girl. She's meant wants me to paint her nails all the time. They always look a hot mess like she did it herself but nope it was her blind momma trying to paint them! That's how I came upon your videos. You sound so much like her Aunt that we both love like crazy! Thank you for sharing your journey and being so positive! Keep doing what you're doing Hun! Much Love! ❤❤
