It had to be sometime in 2016 I was in a dark place with a transistor radio tuned to the maverick. From the second this came on I knew it, but I didn't know it. It took me about 3 days to figure it out; it must have been when I was a child, I happened to watch the Glen Campbell Show. He sang it with whoever was his female sidekick he had on, and then I never heard it again until Alison sang it to me that day. It was a little emotional then, and now when I go back to that little room at the house where my grandmother would watch whatever we did, my heart fills full.
