Now, dont everybody jump on me at once! This is very beautiful, however, I still love Elvis' version best. Especially, when he strains saying, "Get it off, get it off, my shoulders," I just start to bawl in that part... it makes me think he probably really felt like the world was on his shoulders at times. Can't say I agree with you. I am very happy Jamey asked her to join him on this song and that he had the good sense to basically have her be the lead. A strange thing to say "never ding a duet with Alison". Since there are so many great duets with her around.Especially if you aren't all that great a singer yourself in fact, Alison is your girl because her attribution always lifts a song to a higher level.

I couldn't agree more with you. Having a great voice is not all it takes to be a great CW singer/balladeer. Heck, lots of the CW greats didn't have "great" voices, but they sure had something that made me love listening to their songs over and over and over. I think it has something to do with their twang, their soul, their emotion, and their honesty.
