Alison Limerick was the Dance Diva of the early 90's. So underrated, yet brilliant.!Never a Saturday night passed at Miro's club in Nottingham without an AL record being played.! Thanks for the memories Alison.

Finally I found her original video. This song was remind me when I was 15 years old on 30 years ago
I remember being a young teenager and hearing this song on the radio late one night, when I should've been getting my _8 hrs of sleep for tomorrows math test_ or whatever. I remember how I snuck down to the piano in the the living-room, Wide Awake! I just *had* to work out those chords. They were just hypnotising me! I was in some state of ecstasy delving into those sexy sophisticated harmonies while simultaneously working the damper pedal HARD not wake up my mum and dad...

Lovely lady. Used to be in Starlight Express when I worked Front of House. She was always nice to everyone. Love her voice and so happy that she 'made it on her own' for herself outside the show! This and Where Love Lives truly stand the test of time!

Now, this is strange! In April 1992 my sister passed away aged 17, I was about 9 at the time. She's been on my mind alot lately. I've been suffering with depression and anxiety for along time. Last night I asked for some help from god. I just woke up with a tune in my head and hummed it to Google and it was exactly this song. Now I don't know if younger me remembers this song but I have completely forgotten it if I did. But the lyrics match beautifully with how I've been feeling these past years. I feel that she sent me this song as a message and I thank you. Bizarre it came out 2 months before April 1992 when she passed as well! Thankyou for this beutiful soulful music! I'll be listening to more of your stuff now ❤❤❤

So sorry for your loss ❤ Even though the years pass by, the love always remains. ❤️ You mention the melody. This song is almost identical to two other songs from the early 90's. Firstly 'Love Makes The World Go Round' by Don-E (which was released 3 months after Alison Limericks song in 1992) Then 'Midnight At The Oasis' by the Brand New Heavies (August 1994)

I lost it in several move.I want to see that dance but there is no clip. there is boogaloo dancers, two mas and one girl dance in your song. I hope you connect them and watching their dance and upload your channel. I remember front man name is Gondra in 'K-ogs' Korean dance team in 90~00. Maybe his name is Condra. Alison's voice could easily fool someone, thinking you are listening Oleta Adams. I’m not familiar with the work of Limerick, my comparison stays only on surface observation while listening this song. Very fine song indeed. Certain freshness, regardless of age, yet, the glimpse of better times.
