I like it but still think the original is better. I think she should of done something in between the two. Sorry not knocking this version Alison you got a God’s gift of a voice. I think this version works better for people today maybe but I just love your Yazoo version because I was bought on that version. Ruined a perfect ode by trying to make it commercially attractive. I agree this woman is effing incredible (i have always been and do remain a fan), but this rendition, in no way, creates the same emotional atmosphere of the original. It was the spirit of the piece that spoke to me. And this leaves me cold.
