One of the best interviews of a Pastor I've seen and also beautifully produced. I would like to thank John MacArthur for two blessed events. The first recommending Alistair Begg for the Pastor opening at Parkside. Second, for recommending him to be on TV so that led to the Sunday broadcasting of Parkside's service allowing thousands across the world to turn into solid Bible Based teaching. Such teaching is getting harder to find in these days as so many churches are 'becoming like the world to win the world'. I thank Alistair Begg for teaching on the Letter of Jude not for the faint hearted in these days and he did it with truth and, I feel with compassion. We were covering you and Parkside in prayer. I want to thank him also for his comments about Sinclair Ferguson. Who, I feel, is one of the best Bible Teachers walking this planet today. So humble. I have spent hundreds of hours 'sitting at his knee' (via videos) learning from him. A precious gift from God. The prison story about his book did not surprise me. His books are manna from heaven.

Your church is beautiful, built as a welcoming place, elegant, neat, friendly, I loved this interview video, and Pastor Begg is so naturally friendly, so warm and engaging ,answering every question with such a sincerity and truth , he is the kind of Pastor that we would like to have in every church, he exude the love of Jesus that is very contagious. Thank you so very much, he is a gift of God to all who listen to his sermons. May our Father in heaven keep you healthy for many more years for our joy of the gospel hearing from you.✝️🤗✝️👏🏼✝️🥰✝️👍✝️😇✝️😃✝️💖✝️🌺✝️👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Tremendous responses to difficult questions that few are willing to provide. This pastor does not dance around and certainly points all things to the sovereignty of God’s providence. Well done; what courage to speak so plainly during such a time of need. “Confront the dark parts of yourself, and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness.” -August Williams

Though my wife and I belong to elevation church since 2017, I found you, Alister on a podcast maybe 3 yrs ago and since then I listen to you nearly every day. Maybe it's the fact that we are close in age where as my wife is closer to pastor furticks age. I find your humbleness inviting and your wit far exceeds that of the younger pastors out there. Pastor Alistair you mentioned starting from scratch teaching about the foundations of the Bible, so we understood who God is and Jesus is. Then, what their reasoning is for what they stood for, and how we, his children are part of the story. Why all the people should know that this book is our instruction to live by and share with the rest of the world. The Great Commission, I knew nothing about till I began studying the Bible, on a daily basis, with the all-important explanation of God's plan. Going to church had never meant anything until I learned how to read and understand the Bible. In EVERY MOMENT HOLY VOL1, STUDENT & SCHOLARS, I found real truth in learning about the Bible and Christianity. ...New insights, fresh inspirations, small epiphanies, come daily through the sermons and many other tools I have that opened my world, changed aspects of me, and gave me strength that I never had before.

I havent "enjoyed" anything this much in a very long time! It's easy to say things like "stick to the Bible" or "What would Jesus do?" But that's not so simple when one is truly trying to simply lift their feet in the thick muck... looking UP can feel almost inconsequential. The plain things being the main things, in conversational matter of fact rendering here, is refreshing... helpful!

The church needs to be spiritually on fire and have the urgency to live and believe ,as and example , that the Lord is soon coming and we have to be ready and alert ,especially awake the youth to that reality and seriously feeling the need to take in their life the Presence of the Lord.

I personally think that there is no formula outside of prayer and acknowledging God with what we would like to do. He does promise if we acknowledge him he will guide us even if turns out as if you made a mistake, it's a mistake you needed in your life. That's my conclusion of the matter.

Kids can use a phone and a "TV" but they cannot fix a car. They learn knew things faster than old people so it's to be expected they learn how to use the things they need and use every day. Phones are like video games to learn the secrets of and kids ask each other how to use them. When they get older they will have the same problems we have in not understanding how to use everything new that comes along. Old people know a lot of things they dont know and they are often surprised by that.

When Pastor Begg travels, who is the Pastor who preaches at your church? Is your church a. Calvinistic, or Baptist or by what Denomination are you known for?
@olgaburgos77805 ай бұрын
Fortunately in the USA ,a country under God , different religious denominations have their own private schools for their children to be taught, which is very good, and the parents have the responsibility to teach the biblical history and the love of God. “ Jesus loves me this I know , for the Bible tells me so…….”

Great interview! 40 years of service in the same church, in the company of people like John MacArthur, or Spurgeon. I live in a country, France, were denominations (AofG, Brethren, etc.), not the Holy Spirit, decide how long a pastor can stay in any given church. I suppose the Church in a country always reflects the country's values: France being a country where everything is controlled, this controlling spirit is also found in the denominations. 😢

What a totally unfair take on Trump and Biden. And can't believe that 3 years into Biden's mandate, the wokest ever, he still maintains this view. Really ruined the interview for me. It's on a par with Begg's eulogy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg 3 years ago.

I like Alistair. Have listened to him for years. But I find it disturbing and sad that being such a good expositor who slides down into the murky waters of allegoricalism when coming to eschatological passages. A true Covenant theologian. He dismisses the distinctiveness of Israel and the Church. "There is a Difference" by Renald Showers discusses the history and the failures of Covenant theology. Well worth the read if you are honestly seeking to follow the Truth.

I think his remarks were purely stated saying he doesnt agree with everything Trump says or does. BUT, he did say God can bring Trumps pride down. I love Alistairs' gentle approach when presenting biblical teachings to his congregation. I have rarely seen that's same kind of compassion from Christians when addressing people in a slightly more hostile environment. ie. Muslims, non-believers, the LGBTQ community. Why?

At about the 43:30, Alistair talks about Romans. But only chapter 1. Romans is 1 letter. Paul wrote to the church in Rome, and it should be read in its entirety. Certainly reading chapter 1 without ready chapter 2 does not put that chapter into proper context! I reluctantly use the word trap, but Paul, in chapter 1, lays the groundwork for the profound wake-up call of chapter 2 for those who would weaponize the first chapter.
