Director of Photography, Alister Chapman took Sony’s VENICE camera on an 8-day shooting trip through incredible locations in Nevada and Arizona. He needed to shoot at night; including scenarios in near darkness.
Alister describes his experiences with VENICE, especially how he used the Dual ISO 2500 capabilities to capture beautiful, rich HDR in challenging low-light conditions. You’ll learn how Alister
used different frame sizes for different shots to maximize the quality of the finished film.
Alister also explains his workflow, showing how Sony’s X-OCN format enables 16-bit linear capture without creating a data management nightmare, even when shooting at 60 fps.
