Looks like a fabulous museum. Thanks for sharing. The next time my husband and I visit the U.K. we will add this to our list as we both enjoy History so much and my husband loves military history.

Thank you so much for this video - I'm an Aussie with no links to the military but hearing about the Malayan elements of this regiment was fascinating and I learnt much about its history and breadth of service about which I had no idea. Loved it and keep up the good work thank you!

Thanks for a brief but interesting presentation. My father was a 'Regular' in The Suffolk Regt. prior to WW2 then served in The Cambs. Reg.(at some point being stationed in Bury St Eds) from its outbreak and was a POW from the fall of Singapore spending the rest of the war in Changi Jail. I have his medals (similar to those mentioned as a sample from a FEPOW) and a few other mementos from those harrowing times. I would be happy to donate the few things of his in my possession to the museum and wonder how this might be done?

Thank you for the comment, I didn't know when I recorded this but have since found out my great uncle served with the Suffolk's in Malaya in the 50s. I even unknowingly used a picture of his regimental tie and medal in this video and I also have a family member who were captured at Singapore. I have linked the museums website under the video I would suggest contacting them either by email or phone and letting them know if you do have items you'd like to donate to them.
