Happy New Year! Bonne Anne! Felice Anno Nuovo! 🎉I was supposed to read Sea of Tranquility with my book club in Normandy but sadly missed it because I was sick. I still need to read it. They loved it. I need to read a SA Cosby too. Christi and I almost chose to discuss Scarlet Sister Mary. I can't remember why we chose not to do it. Great list of books for 2024! Happy Reading Leo!

Thank you, Didi! 💕 Scarlet Sister Mary is a novel that seems almost forgotten, we must remedy that! Happy New Year!

So many wonderful books in store for you. I am excited to hear your thoughts on so many! The Painted Viel was my only read by Maugham (& loved it!) until a friend of mine gave me a beautiful 1st ed of Up at the Villa. I devoured it.

Thank you, Christine. My expectations of the Painted Veil are high. And a first edition! I love those.

What a marvelous list of books! I hope you get the chance to read all 24 of them, Leo, and that you enjoy every single page (especially Muse of Nightmares 😉).

Thank you, Hannah! Did you read Muse of Nightmares also?

@@Leoslittlebooklife Oh yes! Any time Laini Taylor publishes a book, I take time off to read it. In the case of Muse, I was fortunate to receive an ARC. I can still vividly remember the day I read it, and I've since explored its pages again by listening to the audiobook (both the Strange and the Muse audiobooks are fantastic).

Thanks for this list! Have not heard most of these books, but will go through them and see which ones I may chose. Maugham is great. Have read almost all of his books! You will certainly enjoy it. :)

What a great list! Curious to hear your thoughts on The Shards. I hated the experience of reading it, but enjoyed the ending and have thought of it often. Still not a book I like, but a book I find interesting. Discovered Louise Erdrich over COVID and have fallen completely in love. That one is a great place to start! (Have always been curious about Tad Williams, maybe I’ll grab one this year.)

That makes me even more interested in both books. I have the feeling that The Shards is not an easy read. And Erdrich! Can’t wait!

@@Leoslittlebooklife yes, exactly. Sometimes a frustrating, flawed read can be even more interesting and memorable. Definately not always, but it’s a fascinating experience when it happens.

What a list! I started The Shards this Summer and really enjoyed the writing but didn’t keep going. It got crowded out. I’d like to get to it too. I reading Handful of Dust right now. 😊. My first Waugh.

This looks like a great selection of books, Leo. I was excited to see a Du Maurier on the list. I’m hoping to get to Jamaica Inn this year. Also - I’m really LOVING the format of your videos with that stunning background. Thanks for sharing.
