ALIVE MALL - HAMILTON PLACE MALL - CHATTANOOGA TN

Hamilton Place Mall opened in 1987 with anchors like Belk, Parisian, Loveman's, Regal Cinemas 9, and Sears. Over time, JCPenney and Hess's joined. In 1998, Belk traded locations, leaving and then returning to Chattanooga. The mall underwent renovations, expanding the food court and enhancing accessibility. Today, it houses over 150 stores, including JCPenney, Belk, and Dillard's. Despite ambitious plans in 2008, the mall's renovation was scaled down. Notable changes include Barnes & Noble replacing Regal Cinemas 9. Recent years brought a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2011 and the closure of Sears in 2019. Dave and Busters and Dick's Sporting Goods announced moves to the mall in 2018.

glad I revisited this place on September 9, 2023, and July 6, 2024 (which was when I turned 32) with my Dad despite my Mom doesn't want to go there because of the shootings and such! but glad I wrote a letter to the Mayor of Hamilton County to see if there was a way to bring peace to the Hamilton Place Mall and stop all shootings and crimes! (and that was my Quest for Peace!)

Hamilton Place Mall is the flagship mall of CBL & Associates, Inc., which was founded in Chattanooga. The company's headquarters are located across from the mall. Crunch Fitness will be opening next to Dave & Buster's in the remaining former-Sears space in a few months.

This mall is always usually pretty full, especially on weekends and holidays. It’s been open for 37 years now and has expanded in the past decade with the addition of Dave and busters

@@KevinWay-oi3wz I just remember just being deporessed as an early teen when my mom would take us to Northgate mall rather than Hamilton lol!! going to see movies at the movie theater. That was fantastic as a kid and going into teen years! You could tell the difference in the popularity between Northgate and Hamilton easily.

It was still great because we would go get pizza there and enjoy the yogurt treats. and of course you can’t finish off the day being at a Sears being bored as all get out with your parents lol

Nice tour of our mall. Music is a bit loud. Me and my late wife lived in that mall in the 1990s when we were in our 20s and 30s. Went once or twice a week every week. Her stores were Proffitts, Parisian, Express, Hallmark, Belk, and Dawahares. Mine were Electronics Boutique, Software Etc, Waldenbooks, and Radio Shack. Out food court favorites back then were Arbys, Krystal, Petros, Chick fil A, Sarku Japan, Taco Bell. Man I miss those days. Miss my wife. Time goes by so fast.
