Great video indeed and a great experience. We did the tiger shark dive in Maldives and it was amazing. I wish do aliwal shoals, very near. I would ask ? Is 5 mil suit is okay or shall I get a semi dry 7 mil suit ?

Beautiful. Amazing. How often are they seen in November? Do you ever go in March/ April time

Is it not worth having a stick or spear for point defence, I mean the chance of a bite is probably slim to none but just in case?
@SublimeParagon3 жыл бұрын
You could take some kind of defence but the sharks are used to divers in that area, and there are strict safety protocols that should be followed on every baited dive. I personally have a rather big camera setup with a big strobe, if any sharks get too close that generally works as a barrier...

John Kennedy during the Missile Crisis: "Thousands upon thousands crowd the Plaza del Toro but there is only one who knows and he fights the bull." From one shark diver to another shark diver.

That's very dangerous because the divers obviously can't pay attention on every shark. Always remember that a dangerous shark is the one you cannot see.
@SublimeParagon3 жыл бұрын
Whilst you are correct that there is an element of danger, I could also apply your logic to driving a car. You can't see all cars at all times, so therefore driving is dangerous... Both activities are still great fun, it would be a sad world if people are only did what is deemed safe!

@SublimeParagon8 жыл бұрын
I couldn't tell you with any certainty +Greatwhite sharky - I have been in October and November but not as early as September. I have seen sharks ranging from Oceanic blacktips, Raggies, Hammerheads, Tigers, and even a Great White! Have a great trip!
@greatwhitesharky32618 жыл бұрын
Hi, Greatwhite at aliwal? Ah whatever I see I am sure will be great. I will be doing a weeks diving there, so the chances may be quite high to see one of the bigger sharks. then I'll be moving onto sodwana bay for a week diving!

What was the bait?
@SublimeParagon3 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% certain, I think it was some chummed up fish heads and bones (maybe sardines) in the drum and some kind of fish oil. I didn't set it up.
