Well it seemed like that back in 2010! I honestly thought Russia was going to dominate! They probably would have if they weren't plagued by injuries. Komova had surgery on her ankle prior to London, Aliya was coming back from her knee injury, Grishina and Afanasyeva had pains in their legs during the Olympics, they just had bad luck! :(

“if’s” have no place in gymnastics. It’s all about delivering in spite of “if’s.”

Who cares? The Russians are the ones that made gymnastics stand out and made people into it. The Russians never get forgotten and same with the Romanians. Americans get forgotten, because they just don't get the fact that gymnastics is called "Artistic Gymnastics," You can be a fan of ugly routines if you want, Team Russia/Soviet Union will never be forgotten. Like Carly Patterson, everyone has moved on from her. Everyone still talks about Svetlana Khorkina?

Just superb routine!! the out of bounds in the las tumbling doesn't matter at all, this was a proof that the russians come back!! Just brighliant performance!! And i hope mustafina wins the all-around tomorow =)!!!

Doesn't mean a thing. They may be technically better (with some gifts from the judges), that doesn't mean they're interesting on an emotional level. Give me the Russian ballerinas over the American robots any time.

@liukin95 Johnson is now at the Pan America games so might get some extra training on that. Nastia mentioned she would not compete in AA but rather focus on balance B and Uneven Bars to help the team on these two events that seem to be a bit weak. Jordyb Weiber just became the AA world champ so maybe the team is not Bad..On the other hand, Russia besides Aliya also has Viktoria that are a great promise to their country,,Excited for next year!

@angbahoangkilikili I think unless shawn and nastia are in full shape it will be China vs Russia im not saying that USA is falling apart you guys have great athletes but China and Russia had numbers of mistakes in the team finals and USA had a couple. If you think of it China and Russia performing to the best of their ability sorry but i don't think USA would have a chance unless the system changes :( sorry

@isaac newtown There is nothing wrong with Russia winning. I think you missed the point of the above comment. I'm not going to defend whatever I said 8 years ago.
