@dellawahyuni63493 жыл бұрын
It depends on how the judges deduct Beth's landing, actually. Without her error, Vika would've scored 16.166 ahead of Aliya, but were Beth's extra steps counted as two small ones or just one big one? If Beth was deducted .2 for the steps, Vika would've won. If it's .3, Beth did. So probably it would go: 1. Beth - 16.216 2. Vika - 16.166 3. Aliya - 16.133 or 1. Vika - 16.166 2. Aliya - 16.133 3. Beth - 16.116 Regarding Gabby... even if she hits her routine, I think at most she'd score about 15.8. High enough for fifth but not ahead of Kexin and th above three.

@hannibaljustincase99854 жыл бұрын
The problem with Komova was that typical, abusive Russian style of coaching. They can't pace gymnasts properly, they're burned out as juniors and there are no more good replacements as it was happening in Soviet Union. Komova literally had the stuff to go all the wa: all around, bars and beam. But there was and is, and most likely will be not enough psychological support for gymnasts, they're constantly body shamed and pushed for unnecessary elements just to show off their dominance(which is non-existent at this point).
@icyolives6 жыл бұрын
Can someone explain to a non-gymnast why Mustafina’s routine looks so much easier than the others? Obviously her routine is probably just as hard as the others in reality, but it appears half as hard. Why?
@robertbeggs106 жыл бұрын
Yeah i was wondering too. I love me some musty but the other chicks routines looked way harder. Not sure how the judge this thing.
@brinaseidel99466 жыл бұрын
Part of the reason it seems easy is because it's so short - and it's so short because she connects a ton of elements together, which adds to her difficulty. And the part is that she starts almost every skill with a difficult entry like a stalder (straddling her legs) or an inbar (piking her legs in between her arms) - she gets more points for doing that than she would by doing those same skills straight of a giant or something. But don't forget, she's just so smooth that she makes the hard stuff look easy - usually when something "looks difficult" it's because the gymnast is struggling with it and probably incurring deductions along the way.
@ameliasadler37726 жыл бұрын
Aliya Mustafina gets most of her difficultly by connecting one skill right after the other. She does handstands before all releases and before her dismount. She gets a connection value every time she does that which adds to her difficulty score. Also, she does things like stalders (straddling her legs around her arms), toe ons (touching your toes on the bar), and inbars (piking her legs between her arms) which add to her difficulty, If you look at Tweddle and Kexin’s routines, don’t use these handstands. Tweddle’s difficulty is mostly from connecting difficult release moves and high to low bar connections. Kexin’s is almost all about releases too. She does some handstands but doesn’t do any of the inbar or stalder moves that Aliya does. On top of this, Aliya has very smooth and natural swing, which makes everything look effortless.
@marcellobiehl25016 жыл бұрын
She had alot of connection value and very difficult pirouettes and shaposhes
@Andrew-pf5fj6 жыл бұрын
She connects element after element which isn't as flashy but is extremely difficult. Beth, for example, relies on big releases to get her difficulty score up. There are places all over the routine where the judges are deducting and the dismount is not even the tip of the iceberg in terms of tenths. It may have been decades ago that it WAS more of a big deal, not sure, someone feel free to tell me, but in these routines, judges are deducting all over the routines. Aliya is so graceful and smooth that she makes it looks easy when it's not, she had an extremely difficult routine but pulls it off so beautifully that it looks effortless. She gets a big difficulty score because she has excellent connections where she does one skill right after the other. Beth Tweddle's difficulty score mostly comes from her release moves which look flashier than Aliya's but have the same difficulty.

@@chooseyourpoison5105 thanks for your explanation. I don't think that Aliya's routine is easy though! And it does look gorgeous. But it feels shorter, is that just an impression? Anyway, I'm really just trying to understand, not saying the scores aren't right or something.

If Tweddle had not taken the big step on landing she would have got silver. Felt bad for Komova. Mustafina is not my favorite, but her execution was near flawless, she delivered.

Bruh Beth’s dismount cost her like 4 tenths I wish she fought harder on that 😭😭
@nathan101203 жыл бұрын
2 big steps and 3 small steps - 9 tenths, but you’re only allowed to take 8 tenths on a landing. The judges were biased. Yao Jinnan deserved bronze.

Kexin He joked that whether Biles withdrew from the team final because of relapse of ADHD when she commented on the live broadcast of the competition. She was just so rude and not aware of how ignorant she was🤮🤮🤮

How did He Kexin get a lower E-Score than Beth Tweddle?
@maia90564 жыл бұрын
Her lb to hb transition and her Jaeger had quite low amplitude. Plus her handstand after her release sequence was quite laboured.

The routines are meant to look flawless, He just looks like she’s struggling the whole time. It doesn’t flow at all and it just looks laboured on almost every skill

How did the judges find more than .8 from Aliya’s routine? Can any people with judging experience explain to me????
@brooklyncritic845 ай бұрын
I’ve watched this several times and I don’t understand how she won gold. Even though Beth didn’t stick the landing her routine was more difficult. Mustafina’s routine was safe and basic the other two had more difficulty

I need to say... In one hand, I love the new style on beam this years... More releases, more inovation (Nina and Kayla styles). But I miss seeing something close to mustafina form on beam. Her legs, her feet, her body positionong during all the routine. It seems no one does it that clean anymore.
