Just hope Sterling does some ground and pound on the ground instead of just ground control against TJ. Once he wins in an exciting and spectacular way, he will be forgiven... But most likely gonna be a 5 round decision fight..
@Tejaybe
@Tejaybe 2 жыл бұрын
5 Round Decision fight would be a big upgrade for T.J, instead of a 4 rounds of Walking Dead-Zombie performance, "WIN" vs Sandhagen, hugging the fence. Aljo atleast won his last fight, TJ didnt win, he got smashed, and was very lucky, to get away with a Split Decision, wich was everything else than impressive.
@alcottdevalte7440
@alcottdevalte7440 2 жыл бұрын
@@Tejaybe It didn't happen much in Sterling vs Yan fight, but he got the job done with ground control even though it was a close one, Yan is to be blamed himself for not being able to do anything and seemed too emotional and reckless early on. Just want to see more activity from Sterling on the ground with damage and more submission attempts. TJ is 36, and I also thought he lost against Sandhagen based upon damage. Think TJ gonna try to finish the fight early on, and if it goes past 3 rounds, I would favor Sterling since he is 33 and in his prime right now.
@Tejaybe
@Tejaybe 2 жыл бұрын
@@alcottdevalte7440 I'll sign up on that, Pretty much what I think it will come down to, how will TJ look in there, the long lay-offs and the surgery, injury free now, But can he get back in "UFC Title-fight shape" , I dont know, but TJ couldnt get a better match-up, just like that for the belt, than vs a grappler. TJ vs Yan would be much worse, TJ vs Sandhagen 2, even worse, so if he will become Champ again, this is his chance, go out hard, try to win by TKO/KO in the first 2 rounds, if he doesnt, I think Aljo takes it. Looking forward to it, thats the most important!
@alcottdevalte7440
@alcottdevalte7440 2 жыл бұрын
@@Tejaybe I absolutely agree with that. Big layoffs and injuries leading to less activity only helps if your fighting style is based upon wrestling like Khabib or if you're a defensive fighter like Adesanya these days where you don't take any damage at all. And if you're not in your 20's, it doesn't go well in most cases. Anyway, TJ's last title shot I guess and I just hope it's an exciting fight. Even Cruz at 36 who becomes 37 next month is fighting Vera who is in his prime, and Cruz' is 2-2 since losing the belt in 2016 but has dealt with so many injuries and little activity. Not saying that they can't do it, but nobody in MMA has become a champ at 125, 135, 145, 155, and 170 after the age of 35 if I remember it correctly...
@Tejaybe
@Tejaybe Жыл бұрын
@@alcottdevalte7440It has been some Champs in them divisions over 35, but thats Most from the previous Era, the Frankie Edgars, BJ Penns, the GSPs, but 125/135 been dominated by Mighty Mouse and Cruz for So long its insane. But yeah. Age caught up to them too, and Dom got most injuries in the sport, unlucky , but thats wbay happends when you Dance in the octagon like he does, footwork and movement thats takes alot of the knees/ ankles. Damn he looked good against Chito, he was winning that, I was impressed by Dom tbh Chito shadow Boxing the air 90% of the time, but he landed that clean lefy kick Beautiful . And thats the game. Still , Dom should not feel bad for his Performance. It was Beautiful to watch. And as you say, 37-38 years old he and TJ now :)

Walking Zombie TJ looked impressive in his comeback fighting without steroids, took a beating from Sandhagen, looked like he been Stuntman for Jurassic Park 1,2,3 + The Walking Dead Series, and had to take over a year off again to put his face, knees, hands, together, from his 3 years off before that. So his last win against Cody was back in 2018, 4 years ago, Im not that confident TJ will make this as easy that most people seems to think, but yeah, figh will tell. Aljo finished Sandhagen, and beat Yan the last fight, in a decision, without taking any damage, will be interesting to see what TJ looks like in this comeback, he aint walking over Aljo like nothing, thats for sure.
