Not sure what your generation is but I'm 18 and I'm not sure this is accurate. My generation has an attention span that's about 3 mins long, and the second something gets boring, we're out. My high-school ended all contact sports my 3rd year and not a single student protested it. If I tried to organize a Free Palestine protest, I couldn't even call it that bec most of the students would only show up bec they think they're getting something free and have no idea what Palestine is. They'd leave as soon as they realize they ain't getting a Palestine.

We call it Tritura/Tiga Tuntutan Rakyat or Three People's Demands The president at that time was forced to retire, and he did. Until nowadays, the student protest is still effective in Indonesia. Some government policies have changed because of that. Example:the rising price of fuel in Indonesia. I give you an example in Indonesia because I'm from Indonesia. Of course, everyone says that they want a peaceful world, but they want to achieve that by blowing up whoever they don’t like. If one-tenth of what I’ve seen from either side is true, then I could never support either one.
