How students around the world are taking a stand for Gaza | The Stream

More than 50 universities across the United States have now established Palestine solidarity encampments, demanding action to stop Israel’s war on Gaza.
What started as a student encampment at Columbia University in New York City two weeks ago has turned into a global student movement, expanding to Europe, Australia and Canada.
Student protesters have been met with brutal counterprotests, arrests and suspensions, raising debates around freedom of expression and the future of activism on college campuses.
But beyond the mainstream media’s attempt to reduce this movement to free speech and safety, why are students risking it all for Gaza?

But there is no reason why we cannot coordinate with the IDF to get goods into Gaza thru the Gaza/Israel border plus we can ship good to Gaza thru the Mediterranean sea as well as coordinate with airport to fly goods directly into Gaza.

These Uni. demos remind me of the Student anti-Vietnam war demos in the 1960s and 1970s. Every week the police would storm in and beat students black and blue, and drag them down to the station for another 'bruising.' After 1-2 years the police gave up, and they withdrew from Vietnam. The same cycle will occur ref: the anti-Gaza Genocide demos. It may take 1-2 years, but the Students will eventually win because they are morally right
