Fall sememster, but warm enough outside to hang out until really late I remember.

@@dingleberryman I was at this show, and saw them in your basement too! Still being a huge AK3 fan today (seeing them next weekend), that is one of my favorite college-era stories to tell. So, thank you!

Good stuff, I got in trouble for going to this show when I got home late and didn't tell my parents where I was going. I think this was on a school night.

I also saw them for the first time while there were on that tour with MU330. Never even heard of AT before that night and I left a huge fan. Even bought a self burned CD from them!

If Glenn had kept his anger in check, I think he’d still be their drummer. But then we wouldn’t have Derek.
@johnnydrum5 Жыл бұрын
Damn, the anger was the reason?? I seen them at The Fireside Bowl back the day. Glen was an inspiration for me drumming with balls. Drummers are grumpy af 😂
@scottbaylo Жыл бұрын
@@johnnydrum5 Why do drummers get such a bad rap anyway? Stuff like jokes about them being least important members in the band, or whatever? I would argue that you’d be better off if you took away any one of the other components (every piece is important, I’m just saying that when you take away the drums, you lose the the thing that drives the whole song, and it’s just not as rockin as it should be) Anyway, back to A.T. - I guess their music would’ve probably progressed down the same path if they kept the original drummer or not, but even though their first… I don’t know, like 5 albums(?) were all great, that first album blows away everything else they’ve done combined! In fact, I believe it made it into “Scottbaylo’s list of essentially perfect albums in punk rock”…which isn’t a real thing that you can go search for, but if it were, it would only be accompanied by a handful of others, like Dag Nasty “can I say”, Sleeper “time and tide”, Jets to Brazil “orange rhyming dictionary”, Jimmy Eat World “Bleed American”, Cringer “greatest hits Vol.1” and J-Church “Prophylaxis”… (I know, I know. I’m sure I left out a ton of perfect albums from other bands (like The Lemonheads “Hate your friends”…and now that I think about it, technically speaking, I’d be within my rights to copy/paste the entire J-Church discography, since there’s nothing in the bylaws that prohibits multiple entries from the same artist (that almost sounded convincing, didn’t it? I don’t even know WTF a “bylaw” is!)… Well, I guess it’s your turn fella’s, I wanna see what your thoughts are on your perfect albums (since I derailed the conversation, and can’t remember what it was originally about!)

@scottbaylo Жыл бұрын
You just have good taste! Quick question for you, are there any bands that you grew up listening to that are even close to as good as this? I only ask because there are very few things I’ve heard made after the early 2000’s that I liked (and everything was either from bands who were formed in the 90’s, or some member(s) were previously known from a big 90’s band. I’m really starting to believe that music died around that time, but believe me, I’d much rather be wrong!
