I live in Alkmaar and most visitors I've spoked to thought it would be a boring industry town but found out that it's really nice and pretty. I live right next to the main canal so I always have an awesome look over the city.

+Max Evenhuis I do. Almost daily. They are excellent for when you are walking around the house on socks and need to do something outside briefly. e.g Take out the garbage, that sort of thing.
