I've always wondered what he means by that. He could either be literally saying he wasn't a stormtrooper, meaning he could have been Imperial army, or navy, or some other non-stormtrooper military group in the Empire, or he could have been a Scout trooper since they are generally snipers. I remember, I think it was Legends, but could be canon as well, that Scout troopers looked down on regular stormtroopers and were above them in the hierarchy. Maybe he was just being cocky and trying to differentiate himself/his fellow scout troopers from the regular stormtroopers with shitty aim. I haven't heard anyone in universe refer to scout troopers as stormtroopers, even if scout troopers are technically stormtroopers... (yeah, I realize those Scout troopers that captured baby Yoda in The Mandalorian had shitty aim, but that could have been that their side-arms are crap-notice how the scout trooper shook his blaster as if he thought there was something wrong with it? Either that, or they suck at close range, but are awesome with ranged blasters, or those two were just fuckups and the Empire was limited on troops at that time period and just put scout trooper armor on stormtroopers, who wouldn't have previously made the cut) I hope they elaborate more on that in season 2 so we know which he was. I could picture a scout trooper with a Boston accent, lol.

James Suraci I could actually see him as a scout trooper as well, and while that stormtrooper stereotype isn’t exactly accurate, like you said, it would match how most of the Scout troopers act for him to just try to distance himself from that stereotype whether it’s true or not.

I wish we would see more often that the stormtroopers were actually the elite infantry of the Empire. And not just the basic grunt we think of them as. In the lore it’s said they were elite soldiers, and that other people who couldn’t become stormtroopers became just regular infantry.

One thing that always interested me was the transitioning period of clone armor into stormtrooper armor, I mean did they just have a smooth transition or was it gradual with bits and pieces added to preexisting armor. Kind of like what we see in the first mission of Force Unleashed on the Wii with the 501st still using clone armor with a brand new helmet.

Basically Luke couldn't see anything because he didn't switch the visor on. On a side note: Even though they are from Legends and they are Droids, Darktroopers are one of the best Imperial soldiers. Love Stormtroopers, personally I prefer them to clones.

The problem with stormtroopers having vision enhancing tech, is it really doesn't matter if all they are constantly doing is essentially looking out of a pair of binoculars. Which is basically what they are doing. Because of the way the helmet is designed. The spacing of the eye holes denotes my comparison here well. So no matter how much tech you throw at it, it'll still be hard to see out of.

blaster hits on stormtroopers usually doesnt exactly penetrate (look in the movie for details) so what kills/knocks them out is probably kinetic energy (maybe) that starts after the blaster shot hits their armor, since after being shot some troopers move around a bit (aka probably not dead) since you cant exactly see a hole in their armor, the armor is useful. *also im not the one who did this, i found this in the internet and changed it a bit*

The Stormtooper armour ended when The Galactic Civil War ended. Since then there were no more stormtroopers. The New Republic thrived and replaced The Empire

And stormtrooper armor can exist without the Empire being the main space government, like i said, remnants and underworld, not to mention also the regular people that found one on the ground and wear it as protection, since it's a pretty good armor

For the flame trooper There are both flame troopers and incinerator troopers Flame troopers have the snow trooper style armour while incinerator troopers are regular stormtroopers with markings

Guess the Empire should've given Gary proper Sandtrooper Armor. If they did, he wouldn't have let those droids go and, more importantly, upset his daughter.
