I always think that sentence of "He just didn't have it, he never had it", is misleading and contradicts what we see in the movie. Yoda was arguably more powerful than Sidious, yes Sidious using the darkside could go toe to toe with Yoda, but still couldn't best Yoda in straight combat. I think the comment about not having it, was more about the general state of things when Yoda pierced through the darkness. The Sith had learned from past mistskes, they essentially controlled the whole galaxy before they made their move of Order 66. I think Yoda realised in that moment the full extent of the Sith plan, and sensed that the will of the force wasn't with the Jedi. Its not that Yoda wasn't powerful enough directly, its just that the Force was no longer with him and the Jedi. The Sith had changed, reduced numbers and worked smarter. The Jedi were arrogant, didn't change and their numbers had swelled.

Yes, disney did make a shitload of bad star wars. But I can't just forget how god awful that prequel trilogy was. Hell, return of the jedi was pretty terrible. At the end of the day we have the pretty good new hope, the fantastic empire strikes back and a long long line of garbage following them.

I Kinda agree and the problems start when they have not creative direction or change mid plot. I remember being excited by the thought of an Obi Wan movie. Then they changed to a 6 episode rum that rather that focus on what Obi Wan was doing, creating a new dialogue as to what he may have done and focused too much on Leia. (Even though I kinda liked Leia's arc) They need to have set writers for the individual projects but maybe have one all important Tzar that dictates the weave to the story in a attempt to make it al cohesive.

When a buddy of mine told me Disney bought Star Wars I was kind of hopeful Lucas was always going back and forth on creating more content but I also knew that there was a quality in the creation of it that you didn’t get anywhere else because he was passionate about what he was doing I knew that without him it would never be the same and as you flip through these scenes you can really see the difference It’s not that the Disney scenes you’re showing are bad It’s that there was something about the way Lucas did things that you kind of marvel at some of the smallest details in the films that just can’t be matched Imagine if Prince sold his entire likeness and image and music to someone to take over and make music using his name and dressing and trying to be him Even if they were really good they couldn’t create the kind of music that he made I don’t think anyone would question that notion but here we are with Star Wars and expecting things to be the same Even if Disney got rid of the woke nonsense tomorrow and took it seriously they still couldn’t do it Justice They did a great job on Rogue One and that was more or less what I expected Something that was very good and maybe not GL good but something enough like the original that we’d enjoy it Disney doesn’t understand sci-fi at all and GL really made the genre tbh There likely wouldn’t be a modern version of Star Trek if it wasn’t for Star Wars coming along and maxing out what could be with it Disney knows what they are doing This all a part of cultural Marxism and the big problem is convincing people that it’s true
