I play there this Saturday for the first time! Celebrating my 40th🎉🎉 Started playing this past Father's day and played probably 10 times since. I got the bug!

Def the best course in MD by far - have played here many times - once played here in a torrential rain storm and still enjoyed the round

I live right around the corner from there and I prefer Worthington Manor or PB Dye. You should definitely check them out !!

Don't set your expectations too high like I did cause you might find yourself to be extremely disappointed.

The 18th hole is play it as it lies. The starter explained to me that because the structure was there before the course it does not count as a man made object. You should score that as an unplayable lie. Beautiful course, but expensive. Great round. Thank you for the video.

I live in Potomac right next to congressional and Avenel. Nice courses but super challenging. Lakewood is my home course. How does Whiskey Creek and the other nice public courses compare to the private ones? I’d like to try some of the nicer public courses in the area.

Played Whiskey Creek twice in scrambles Like the course and that house sitting on the 18th fairway is unique. My buddy hit it through the door. Have to agree with a few others that Bulle Rock is slightly better overall

Shady road to get there? Past the $1,000,000 houses?

I don’t understand what you mean by you had to take a “shady road” to get there.

What does a round go for these days, $150? Has gotten super expensive to play there.
@MarkEresGolf Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s def pricey. Think it was $130ish on a weekend morning. Definitely a good splurge course once in a while!
@timpac178 ай бұрын
Just go to Rattlewood for half the price, twice the fun.

Nah Bulle rock is better….too many quirky holes…good course, usually good conditions but the price for value 😮…range is meh too…

Definitely not better than bulle rock. And for the price, I think it’s a little overpriced. I like Worthington Manor and Marilyn national about as much as whiskey creek. But it is a great course.
@jeffjeff4887 Жыл бұрын
Too expensive. Plenty of competition in that area at better prices.

Seriously. The absolute most overrated course I've ever played.
@pdc-cp4uv8 ай бұрын
@@timpac17 What is better? I have played every course in the area and Whiskey Creek is a great course. The conditions are the best in the region. The course isn't terribly difficult and is enjoyable. It is more fun and scenic than Worthington Manor or PB Dye. I like Musket Ridge and Maryland National, but they aren't quite as good.
@timpac176 ай бұрын
@@pdc-cp4uv i hyped it up a little too much cause i held off for 2 years to play there. Thinking back it was definitely a nice course, but for the price id choose to play at any one of the Montgomery county courses or Blue Mash for half the price and not feel like im missing out on anything.
@pdc-cp4uv6 ай бұрын
@@timpac17 yea, I mean if price is a deciding factor, than Whiskey Creek would be problematic. However, MCG courses don't have the same type of surfaces. MCG has Clay as the soil underneath the grass which makes the ground hard as a rock unless it has rained. Being a Moco course requires certain water restrictions so when its super hot the courses dry out. Whiskey is a manicured, upscale course with a much softer surface. It plays like a professional course. If you play MCG all the time, eventually you are going to bust up your arms and joints from hitting off what feels like concrete.
