Something I've always found interesting about haki is that there isn't a direct destroy ability. You can argue that ryo and internal destruction are but all they are really doing is infusing their haki into an opponent, the forms of haki dont shoot laser or incinerate things or people, the abilities are basically all designed to avoid fighting and having to hurt people. An ability to let you protect yourself with armour an ability to observe the world around them and an ability to stop a fight without violance. Sure pretty much everyone uses the armour to cause more damage but that goes down more to the people application of this power system that is primarily defensive.

Advanced observation is just using your sensory perception to predict what's gonna happen next. This is demonstrated when Luffy snakeman launch a punch at katakuri, he dodge it, and still get hit when it come around (even though he clearly have the haki and speed to dodge it when luffy start spamming punch). This is because he just didn't expect the 2nd punch so his brain didn't predict that coming toward him.
